Didn't he slit the insides of his mouth at the Germany concert? I have a picture of him with blood in his mouth and some girl on deviantArt who went told me he did. :? (please don't eat me hardcore fans if I'm incorrect XDDD)
 
No, he didn't. That would be going very far, even for him. He scratches, that's about it. And he doesn't enjoy it when people think it's great entertainment and egg him on in that.
 
He actually did cut the insides of his cheeks during the Berlin live, and people did egg him on. I had a friend who went, so I got quite a few details.

I have no patience for people who encourage. Although, to do it, is at least understandable for me, but I don't have patience for people who see such as *only* 'entertainment'. To spectate is one thing, encourage is another.

Yea... I was almost positive he did. How can he sing well if he cut the insides of his mouth? :unsure: I really don't like it when he does stuff like that. The fake blood and stuff isn't bad but it really pains me to see him actually hurt himself. :(

I went there and this "blood" coming out of his mouth was nothing more than fake!!!
It was only fanke blood so keep calm^^. It was the same with Rock im Park there he covered his upper body with fake blood.

Id do anything to see Dir en Grey in concert!!

I went and signed that petition, i dont care what state they do it in as long as they do it here! Id even fly to Canada to see them!
Only Kyo can pull off looking seksi with blood coming out of his mouth! And that whole scratching of his chest, now that is hot!
 
I couldn't find the link for the petition. Anyways, I'm not a fan of Dir En Grey. I listened to an album, or two but that's all. I would still be interested in watching them perform in the USA though. I do hope they are doing something besides have 3,500 people sign the petition, and then e-mail it to the band. That will not do at all! They have to e-mail it their record label in japanese, and english.

Umm... I don't know what the heck they are doing about sending it to them. I just posted the link. I'm not in anyway affiliated with it. I could perhaps email them and find out :?
 
Withering to Death

Has anybody else listened to this Dir En Grey album? I've listened to it a few times now, and it's great music for when I'm playing Half-Life 2: Death Match. Just post your opinions, and what not in this thread.

It's a great album, but not my favorite. I think it's without a doubt their least diverse album.

Garbage is a ridiculously delicious song is it not though. Possibly my favorite off the album, but it's so hard to choose. Machiavellism is catchy... it has that tendency to get stuck in your head for days and drive you insane (but in a good way 😌)
 
Garbage is a great song! I'm listening to it right now.
 
the album is good ^^ i like it but not as good as say Macabre or Gauze... i like Machiavellism, Saku, Kodou, and track 5 with the huge name ^^ Garbage is interesting...

not as much as other songs of theirs... but i really like the album...

haven't heard any of the ones you've mentioned ^^;

but it's on my 'to buy' list... so i'm not gunna untill i buy it...

but... maybe i souldn't get this album then...... would another one be better? i can only aford one Diru ^^;
 
At first I thought it was to ...westy. You know, not j-rock enough. But then I think I realized it was just because I had listened to so much j-rock I couldn't make out the clear difference anymore :p
I think it's a really good album. You just have to get used to the style.
Two of the slow songs I'm not really crazy about though. It's really backround music, I have diffeculties keeping my mind on the music, I just drift off.
But Saku, Machiavellism, Garbage, Jesus Christ... all of those I really like.
But I do miss the more alternative, j-rocky songs. The ones who could have bass solos without you really thinking about it, just because you expected them to be so varied.

Here I go writing a long post again. I wonder if anyone ever bothers to read them 😌

i think you should get either GAUZE or MACABRE. wither is good but since you can only buy one...
 
Vulgar is my personal favourite, so I'de recomend it. Though I guess it's only for the time being. My favourites change.
All Diru is great, you have to make your own choise.

I love Withering to Death :-) There's not a song on it which I really don't like. It's my second favourite album, after MACABRE.

So Furan... Buy MACABRE! buyyy ittt. Or umm, yeah, download it :D and buy Withering to Death instead :p
 
I downloaded 150+ songs by Dir En Grey the other day. Really good stuff! I haven't had the chance to listen to them, but I listened to Vulgar/Withering to Death/Six Ugly. Dir En Grey is really good! I might go buy a cd or two if I can find them.

If you can't find it at an online store or the price is too high, ebay is chocked full of Dir en Grey stuff. Careful not to get bootlegs though. :-)
