Dir en grey

@ Saishu: WAHHHH YOU'RE SO L-U-C-K-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't know what I'd do if I got the chance to even see Shiyna close up!....I might just stand there and drool!!!!

if ever i get the chance to handshake with them i probably might stare at my hands for a loooooooooooong time and i wont wash it ...maybe

Somehow I try not to dream too much of meeting with them, as it makes me want to cry when I think of my chances that such a thing would happen!! ☝
I see quite many people here like shinya.. Actually he wasn't my favourite, especially in the beginning, mainly because of his girlish looks (sorry, sorry!!). But the more I watch dir en grey videos, the more I like Shinya, he is so into his drums while on the show... just comes one word -cool 😊 Of course, I'm not a specialist or anyone to tell if he plays well or not, I just like the sight of him playing, e.g. in the "it withers and withers" dvd, "obscure", "dead tree" 😌
 
yea shinya is pretty crazy on the drums (welcome to the diru thread, monnichi!)... in the recent TV show exerpt thingy (the inward scream tour) he did something to his shoulder... i'm not sure if it was sprained or something else... but he kept playing for the whole tour.

wow, you're really lucky
I have really no idea how I would react, if I ever met them...I don't think I would scream or giggle...I think I would just stand there not able to say a word anymore^^...but I think I would try to act pretty normal, since I really respect them as persons AND as musicians!!!!

Shinya seems to forget anything around him while he's playing...but I think that's pretty normal for persons who love music and make music (I also forget sometimes the world around me while playing the guitar^^). It shows that he's serious with the music and that he loves it!!
 
monnichi~ yeah i know what you mean i was watching some videos of Dir en grey last night and my mom was watching with me and then out of no where she tells me "you know what your chances are of meeting them you need to get over it." and my mouth just dropped *sighs* my mom loves to crush my dreams

i have dreamed of having a convo with die and can u imagine i also had a dream about gazette and diru on the same stage in a TV guesting..they were both uneasy in my dream until some crappy clowns came in.........
 
@ andie from my perspective, that's kinda funny, but if I had that dream, I'd be pretty upset and go on a clown-destroying rampage (maybe......I'm still kinda scared of them)

@ monnichi I love when Shinya plays the drums! I love how he moves his entire body as he plays (well most of his body)! In the PV for the Final (I'm in love with that PV) I love the way his hair goes flying in every direction (well not in EVERY direction)

diru release another single RIGHT NOW. >_> *seriously impatient*

also, headline another tour in the USA ^_^ and they should bring a smaller jrock band to open for them! i nominate Sadie.
 
oooooooohh! i nominate Sadie too!!!! But I wish they'd come to Canada again. They came last time....and I was kinda fighting with my parents so I couldn't go. But if you really think about it, they probably wont come back because not many ppl here are into J-rock. It's all 'gangsta' ppl. Also, they came when it was FREEZING. Now it's BOILING.....the weather's so messed up here.
 
I'm sure they'll come back to North America. Especially since Kaoru claims that tour is what sort of kept them from breaking up the band. Honestly, their music has changed to appeal to more than just the Japanese culture, so I think they'll be back.
 
Has anyone heard anything about Toshiya joining Yoshiki's new band??

My friend told me he'll be joining that band for a while... but not permanently

toshiya should stay in dir en grey. i already lost miyavi to that band i dont wanna lose toshiya ><
although toshiya would be a good choice bc he kicks *** in bass, i still rather have him in diru. i cant imagine him anywhere else.
 
yea it makes sense toto would be recruited, since yoshiki is partially responsible for them getting popular/releasing gauze... plus he is kickass... plus even more people would show up to see him... it really IS a superband, huh? but totchi would only be a guest, and if anything interfeared with a diru tour, he would dump it. they have all stated that they are Dir en grey and Dir en grey only... i don't think they'll ever break up and do different stuff. Dir en grey is too strong for a follow-up.
 
Yea toshiya is still sticking with dir en grey he's only joining yoshiki's band for a little while. he's not leaving Dir en grey

then again i still don't know if this is true >__<
That's why i came here to as you guys XDD
 
Hmm, I don't like all that super band thing so I'd like Toshiya to stay with dir en grey only :p Anyway, this is really the first time I hear a thing like that so I guess it's only a rumour ( [~Hitsugi_love~], this is really the best place to look for real, official information 😊 )
Oh, diru working on a new single? Could someone give a link, I haven't seen that information anywhere... I wonder what they're going to change in style in the next releases, their music becomes harder and harder(well, not everything, but...), some softer sounds would be wonderful :-)
