Well...howdy.
Got a small task: during my creation of old cartoon localization, i decided to do a lil' more.

In fact there are two versions availabble in the Internet nowdays: Original Japan (no subs) and Eng (with subs). I made my native version+subs, so...that's gonna be fair to expand the Original Japanese version with subbs too.

Tis not commercial project, but....i'm ready to pay 10k yen for assistance and a deepest gratitude.
There are less that 2 hours of screentime. Subs can be created just as a txt or doc file. With song lyrics.
Theni'll create subs myself and will upload the result of our project for free usage of humanity
Can i find here anyone for this work and is the reward enough for that kind of job?

Thanks anyway :з

I am not able to help but have a question. What character set/encoding is supported? Do most things support it being UTF-8 or would some other encoding be required? I'm thinking more if this were to be used on a DVD player or some multi media device like Roku or something. I suspect VLC on a computer could probably handle most any encoding.

I think translators generally charge by the word. You can find relatively cheap ones at fiverr.com.

I never knew that, I would have guessed it was by the sentence as you would need context for the translation to be accurate. But I guess by the word makes more sense as it could be a very long sentence.

Ah, right, I wasn't thinking straight. But they have transcribers too. Just search for "transcribe Japanese."
Looks like going rates are $3-$5/minute of audio. I should put my wife to work on fiverr doing this.
