I was listening to a Japanese dialogue example from my Japanese Class and there's a word I just can't understand. I'm not sure if I'm hearing it correctly, it sounded something like: shuuzutsu or shizutsu, maybe even suzutsu. But there aren't any Japanese words like that in any dictionaries that I can find. If anyone has any ideas what it means or what I might be mishearing I'd be really grateful for their input.

Thanks!

I guess what you've heard is 手術(しゅじゅつ) shujutsu, meaning operation or surgery.

Ah, 手術! yeah, that sounds right! Thank you very much! The voice on the recording was horribly unclear, it was quite annoying. Thanks again.
