Colorado expatriot in Tokyo

Greetings.
I've lurked around a few different Japan discussion boards on the net and this one just seemed more intelligent than the others so I decided to sign up. Not that I'm all that intelligent, or anything.
I'm originally from Colorado, USA but have lived in Japan (Tokyo/Yokohama) since 2001. I may not be a frequent poster here but I often have questions I want to ask other ex-pats in Japan, or experiences to share. And who knows, I may even be able to contribute something useful from time to time.

I don't know if any of us is more intelligent than anyone else out there on the net but there are indeed some really, really bad forums out there. I'm happy to "belong" to this community called JREF forum.

With what seems to be a throw-back into the gloomy days of winter, the skies outside my office window only make me long for the warmer days to come.
