hi, the sentece below really doesn't make sense to me. Can you translate and tell me what exactly this sentense means?!

''not exactly the case I meant to pay but kept loosing the chance. I should have wrote it as payable but then for the transaction I had to put it as paid.

That's horrible English.

He seems to be making excuses about why he hasn't paid some debt.

Hi, Mike.
Thank you for the reply. I wasnt sure if the sentence is grammatically correct or not.
Now i know why this didnt make sense to me because the sentence is messy.
So he wanted to pay but he didn't get a chance to pay.
And on the book, he made entry as "paid" and that really should have recorded as "payable".
He also made mistake on the book intentionally or unintentionally....

It sounds like lies to me.

cloche77, by the some reason HE should book that entry to account payable, but HE marked that transaction as paid. So, HE is not going to pay.

Now explanation. Quite common practice in small business entities, when somebody is subscribing for something neglectable small, like professional book-series, magazines, services, they are waiting for bill. Once bill is received, subscription is going to be canceled, bill is going to be booked as paid, and money are going to somebodyelse pocket, and ... That is to reduce taxable income.
