a little like kenshin??! *eyes lit up suddenly after reading that post* I'm going to watch Bleach no matter what now! i really want to rush to the anime store.but i probably need to save my money, it's expensive for a poor person like me *curse moodily* how i wish for someone to burn it for me

not in a traditional samurai feel. But in a more switch between serious and comedy. It doesn't have the constant power dragon ballz naruto level 52 turn chakra rabbit fox thing. And yes the sword fights do add alot of samurai feel to it. You just have to get into the more serious part of it. the beginning is not like it's current state.

It gets even better? Yay! It's interesting right now...but kinda odd, and i find the enemies too similar. I guess that'll change though, since i've only seen 5 epsiodes.

And Rika, what do you need to rush out to a store for??? Just download it! Unless you have slow internet...geez that was awful when i had AOL dail-up...

If you love plot twists Bleach is the story for you. Because they way it starts you think the story will go a certain way, and then it changes. But now when I look back, especially where it is in the manga I am like smacking my self like aww...that makes so much sense now.

And yea I have really been backing down on Naruto. The last episode I saw was like 155, it was just so boring. And I agree on the HokagevsKazekage fight it was boring and the NarutovGaara fight was great. But the fight that had me the most excited was the NarutovSasuke fight, but right after that fight the show just died.

A steep uphill followed by a rollercoaster fall huh? The manga leaves you hanging and goes on to give you a bit of a filler on Kakashi's history. Not too bad, more like a side story to the series.

The manga goes off about kakashi's history? Dang, i need to read that, what volumes is it in?

Yeah, i agree about the narutoVSsasuke part, that was awesome, then after the fight it all went to a bunch of stupid side stories...it's kinda pathetic, cuz all the big bad enemies are beat in one episode. Itachi and Orochimaru are nowhere to be heard of either...it sucks. But heck, i'll still watch it, i mean, it's not like i'm payin for it or anything.

The manga only recently got back to the main story... so er... The chapters with Kakashi in it arn't in volume form yet. They were published in SWJ and scanlated by a variety of groups including Inane etc.

@vengefulronin - where do you download it? broadband,lol yea it was reali bad when i had dial-up. i've never downloaded anime before. i like to watch as much as i can in one go..can't stand waiting for the next day to know what will happen, that's y usually just buy the thing instead of tv x.x

I get mine at bleachtv.com. Just make an account and you can download em right away. I just finished watching episode 9...and now i really love the series.

Oh i don't buy the manga, if that's what you were thinking, i read it all online...except for Kenshin, i can never find any sites that have Kenshin manga...

Lol, yeah i read it online...cept for Kenshin, i buy that. Heck, i only make $6 an hour so i can't afford to be buying manga all the time.

Oh, btw, you might wanna get an account with bleachportal.net too, cuz the server on BleachTV is a bit tempermental.

Kenshin was licensed ages ago so that's why it's hard find http download links for it.

Do you know how to use IRC? If you do, #lurk has the entire series all zipped up for you to download one volume at a time. All 28 volumes! And there're no queues! Immediate fast downloads.

I brought the entire manga series though. Kenshin's one of those manga that's worth collecting...

Nope, I don't know how to use IRC.

But i agree, Kenshin is worth buying. Although i spent so much on people for christmas, so i'm about 3 volumes behind, and i don't really want to spend alot more....

Um.. I believe Sakura-Crisis.net has a good IRC tutorial. If you have the time, go read that, download an IRC client (I recomment mIRC) and type in the server and IRC channel like this:


/server irc.irchighway.net

/join #lurk


Note: Because #lurk is such a busy channel with about 1000 people downloading and sharing continuously, they require you to register your nickname to avoid botters clogging the connections.

The IRC tutorials should tell you how, but if you still can't do it, ask me and I'll do my best to help.

Arigato gozaimashita! (did i use that right? i'm not entirely sure of the difference between saying gozaimasu and gozaimashita) I'll give it a shot in the next couple days. I'm gonna be pretty high on meds since i'm gettin my wisdom teeth out, so i may not get it....but i get alot of days off work so i'll have plenty of free time.

Speaking of free time...that means i'll get to watch more Bleach! I just finished episode 15, and it's already more involving than Naruto. I think i'm going to wind up being converted to the Bleach side.

huh?? is manga that expensive to buy? manga from taiwan just cost 80-85 taiwan dollar.. convert that to US dollar..um..im not sure but i think it's just somewhere around 1 or 2 smth dollar for one comic. but i saw some english version imported from US which costs like 10x or more the price of chinese version i was like, what?!

Holy crap, manga is a frikkin rip-off in the states. A friend of mine who visits japan frequently because he has relatives there always gets his manga over there. He told me it costs the equivalent of $2 or $3 dollars.....over here we pay $7.95 (without tax)...and that's Shonen Jump, the cheapest (and they have the nerve to put on their cover "only $7.95!" as if it's so cheap). Tokyopop and others range from $10 to $12. I had to stop buying Yu Yu Hakusho, and i fear i may have to stop buying Kenshin because of car payments and rising gas prices! I wonder if anything can be done about that....probably not, they know we can't read hiragana and kanji (few of their readers, anyway), so they jack it up cuz they know we'll buy it. :auch:

Um...rant over...and I now love Bleach!

I haven't seen Bleach, but I doubt it would be better than Naruto. I am open to being corrected, though, so don't think I'm just being a stuck up Naruto fan.

I agree. No offense to the manga producers out there, but the prices are way to stinkin' high.

Yes, the prices are way high. I mean...manga's great...but $7.95 or more is still too much to pay for a volume that i can finish in an hour.

And Clawn, i didnt see how bleach could be better either...but it is. Naruto's going down in plot, and Bleach plot is really good. Get up to about episode 5 and you'll start likin it...if not go up to episodes 9 or 10 and you'll like it. If you still don't like it....then it's hopeless.
