I have a lot of the Battle Royale Manga... but I've never seen the live action movie. I looked it up on Amazon.com but there were several different versions. Which one do I get?

I've got the Special edition version. Expect it to be different from the manga and the book. Films can't really do in depth character for everyone so they concentrate on the main ones, Kawada, Noriko and Shuuya. It is an amazing film though.

BTW who took off my Wagner? Do it again and I'll make you pay, big time.

Is the movie subtitled or anything? I don't know enough Japanese to follow a movie completely in Japanese.

So... Battle Royale 2 a sequel to the original film? And has anyone ever heard of Tokyo 10+1?

If you buy your copy in the states it should be subbed. Most foreign films made for English speaking countries are normally defaulted to display subtitles. Although I have bought ones that default to dubbed, which I don't like.

to be honest... i think i'd pull a hiroiki...
i mean, i think i'd kill myself, but i'd only have the guts to do it if i got a gun... so if i didn't then i'd be pretty screwd...
i'd probs go help out the peeps i wanted to survive, hence the hirokiness...

tho, if i was right at the beging (which i would be in my classes case) i'd just keep everyone together at the door, then we'd get the machine guns and snipers and stuff and go destroy the school.... that'd show them

yeah, i might go all mim on their *** and try blowing them up... or go sleep somewhere till it was all over or got caught in a danger zone (heh, lie down and pretend to be dead... or get killed in my sleep) *is a wuss*

tho... it would be fun to play with the pretty wepons... i might wish to torcher someone before i die... there are some people i'd luuuve to make scream in pain and agony in my class *heh heh*

Hang on a minute, I just asked a simple question. Other people (who shall remain nameless, but it is a bit obvious if you read the thread who they are *looks at certain people*) just took it into the realm of violence and horror. Anyway, there are boats off shore, but they are full of armed men who have orders to shoot anyone who tries to get to them. You have a wardrobe full of nice expensive clothes and the whole point of Battle Royale is to kill everyone. So my answer is no boats, but a few more weapons. A set of bagpipes, a garrote, a mauser, the AAs good pub guide, a two handed sword, a towel(you should always know where your towel is), a yoyo, an AK74, a book entitled 'What to do if your struck on an island full of psychotic killers', a cuddley toy(couldn't resist, where Bruce when you want him(reference to an old english gameshow)) and a phail of arsenic.

How to recognize a killer:
He/she has a weapon. - Hey, I've got a weapon! *pats sword*

He/she is surrounded by corpses. - *looks around, seing dead school girl bodies lying beside her* Yep! *puts down book* Hey, this book is good. It knows all about killers.. I.. wait? Me? A killer? Then.. I.. guess I don't have to worry about being someone left of an island full of killers! Hehe, not scared! *throws away book*

*looks at Jo Rose* Whoa! You've got a scythe!? That's such a cool weapon! You know, you can really hurt people with that weapon... *sparkly eyes* Could I borrow it sometime? Only for a short while, and you can have my sword in the meantime...

Our siggys: They changed it so that our siggy only shows in our first post on each thread (or in the first post on that page...) Apparently, the siggys were taking too long to load for some people with slow computers.
