Anybody know of Full Metal Alchemist?

Release of DVD is still undecided.
However, I expect that I am released in about December.

The movie version. The life of "Edward" in Germany after World War I is told.
Can two brothers meet again?

My having been shocked is that "Izumi" died.

The last of a movie was how to finish being connected with a sequel.

I have seen the series, but not yet seen the movie. In the series, i have only watched the first 12 episodes, but, I have enjoyed it thus far. I like the Alchemy theory within the series too.

Hmm, I've seen all of FMA, I cried tons at the end :( its not as much as sad, but just really emotional... My friend and I were up for 27 hours straight watching it, that must be like some sort of record right there! Anyways, I can't wait for the movie to come out, gotta download a cam-rip of it XD They never release anime movies where I live, so uh... BITTORRENT = BBF!!! :D

school certificate:
The General Certificate of Education or GCE was introduced in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in 1951, replacing the older SC and HSC. It was intended to cater for the increased range of subjects available to pupils since the raising of the school leaving age from 14 to 15 in 1947. The examinations were graded into ordinary level (O-level) for 16-year-olds, and advanced level (A-level) for 18-year-olds. There was also an intermediate level alternative ordinary level (AO-level) and a higher special paper (S-level).

Australia has the school certificate system, then when we complete the school certificate, we have the chance to go for a HSC (Higher School Certificate) <<a bit of topic i noe, just answering a question

Since original is not completed, TV version is carrying out the way which finishes being halfway.

From now on, please enjoy original MANGA.
😌

:sorry: but does the TV series story end with the movie or would there be another season (FMA season 2) ? :?

Sou desu. ☝ I still haven't finished the series (watched till ep.46) and the movie yet. Hopefully, they'd consider an OAV or a side story. 😌

Xsuit - Hmm, spoilers are rather hard to avoid when people are discussing something that not everyone has seen as far as others. 😌

Hmm, though I love the anime, I must say that the manga is ten times better. They have the first four volumes (chapters 1 through 17/18 I believe) translated and published by VIS in the US, I'm not quite sure about othe countries though. :sorry: There are 53 chapters (soon to be 54 as of December 11, 2005. Shonen GanGan publishes the chapters monthly). It's not too hard to find English scanlations online, though they are all view-only for the most part. I'll give a link if people want it.

I've seen most of the anime too, apart from reading all the released manga. I've watched up to episod *thinks* 48 or 49 I think, and only missed a few in the middle. Probably episodes 8 or 9 through 14 or 15. 😊

My thread still lives? :( <--- happy tears

I can't believe I forgot about this.... I should be beaten.. 😌

I know for sure the manga is available in Canada, my friend keeps rubbing it in my face that she has the first 3 volumes... It might be released in other countries as well... though I am not sure...

Only a couple? That's actually not too many... but those were interesting episodes...

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA!!! Fellow Australian Sydney HSC victims! I just finished mine last year. Any one of you planning on continuing a university degree at UNSW give me a wave!

The school certificate's a waste of good paper since it hardly matters for people planning on a university degree. Screw the school certificate! Don't stress over that. So not worth it. Looking back I can't believe I bothered to cram

And lastly:

Hagaren MANGA > ANIME

Really. The manga takes a completely different plot after the first 5 episodes or so and it's definately the better of the two. The whole 'creation' of a deadly sin theory is gone too. The story is much more complex and the characters are much more developed.

Is there a spoiler tag? Awww.... I wanna discuss the latest manga chapter so much but it seems everyone here's a FMA anime fan :(

Hell yes! The manga always has been (and probably always will be) better than the anime! Arakawa-sensei is a mad genious. :p As much as I love the anime, I will always love the manga even more. ^^ I've read as much as there is and I'll still buy them as they come out just to read them again. (Yes, I know I'm a complete dork, so sue me.)

Hmm, for spoilers, I figure if we put it in white, or at least a light colour, it'll be harder to notice. Just put spoiler tags around it. 👍

No no! You're not a dork! I'm gonna be guying them too! xD
Have you read Radian18? It's by Arakawa-sensei too, she drew it in her spare time between Hagaren chapters. It was a humourous one chapter special in Gangan. You can get scanlations of it at anime-source!

Which chapter should we start spoiling? >:] Are you up to date with the latest monthly chapters or keeping up with the tank versions?

Neway, latest two chapters' discussion *SPOILERS!* highlight to read:

I was so shocked when I found out that Ed's dad wasn't the sin's 'father'!! I mean, all through the series, I think most of us assumed he was right? That twist was seriously unexpected.

And the chapter before that was definately one of the best.bloody.moments in the series. I was at the edge of my seat and nearly crying when Ed turned around and saw Al's body (Al looks like crap, but I guess that's expected). I cant' wait until Ed tells the armor Al the news! But now they've got the Ling and 'Father' problems to deal with first. ><!!!

I love this show. ^^ It's one of my fave anime, under WeiB Kruez Gluhen of course. I like the 26th episode and the last one, even though they were both really sad.

I haven't read Radian18. I'll have to look into that one.

I just was re-reading chapter 51 and realized just how much I love the manga-only characters. Ling is . . . well, Ling. :D

-Manga!Spoiler Discussion- Oh I know! I was just like, woah it's Hoenheim's twin! Now that I think about it, Hoenheim is probably Pride since he can't really die and he hasn't aged at all as long as Pinako has known him.

I know. I loved the whole scene when they were inside of Gluttony. Weird as hell, but rather funny all the same. Chapter 51 was awesome. So many brilliant quotes. "Nwarrrgh! Conveniently awaken, my telepathic powers! Elric Telepathy! Accept the mind link little brother!" and "Did you know Ling? Leather goods are edible." :D

I squeaked when I saw Aru-kun's body. It was so depressingly cute I couldn't help it.😊
-end Spoilers-

:( Oh wow, episode 25/26 was so sad. 😭 Elicia was so cute, but so saddening in it. I don't quite remember anime!Roy's reaction to it, it's been too long since I've seen it, but manga!Roy's reaction was so depressing. 😭

Oh boy, I should stop rambling. :D I always get rather carried away when it comes to FMA. 😍

Usually in shounen manga, main characters don't die. They get seriously injured and knocked out but they don't die. My friend couldn't believe it when -spoiler- Hughes died. She was in denial until she saw his coffin being buried.

I also loved the jokes in that chapter! Telepathic link! ROTFL! I agree that Pride is most likely Ed and Al's father since he isn't human (being shot mutiple times and surviving without a scratch kinda makes it obvious) but then, if he's Pride, what's he 'searching' for?

It's kinda creepy if you think about it.

'Father' gives 'birth' to Hoenheim who's the father of Ed and Al. So does that make the sin's 'Father' their grandpa or something? -_-;;

I'm also dying from suspense of what'll happen to Roy and Roy's crew!!!

I know! I was hating Envy for probably ten episodes after that. Not like that's saying much. I watched most of the series in a period of two days. ^^;

-more spoilers- O_o Wow. 'Father' being the grand-father of Ed and Al. That's just creepy. Another odd thing is that Trisha and Hoenheim were never married. Making Ed and Al b*stard children.

I want to know how Havoc is going to end up. Is he gonna go work in his parent's shop or do paperwork for Roy or what? :o So confused. I hope he stays though. I always liked him.

Speaking of Roy's crew, one of the major things I love about the manga is that Roy and Riza aren't so distant from each other. That and Ed shows his feelings for Winry a lot more. 😊 Like when Winry found out that Scar had killed her parents. It was so sweet, but in a creepy way in the whole Winry threatening to kill Scar way. O_o

That's another one of my pet peeves with the anime. Roy's the one who kills Winry's parents, which does add to it, but it ruins a lot of it. I didn't like that at all.
