Any "must have" Droid apps for students of Japanese?

I just got a fancy new phone and I was looking for apps to assist with Japanese studies, but all I could really find is a wwwjdic port.

Anyone got anything they just couldn't live without?

"Google Translate" is an excellent app for translating English into Japanese. It is quite accurate and translates with kanji included. While not perfect, I was impressed at the accuracy of most of the difficult sentences I entered.

Well if you want to type Japanese then Simeji is probably the best Japanese input you will get on Android. You can also get Anki on Android if you're into that - just search for Anki and it should come up. Still can't edit decks on the phone sadly.

Thanks for mentioning Simeji. I now have a Japanese keyboard for my EVO. It is quite intuitive and usually comes up with the word I'm looking for before I'm even finished typing. Much like on my laptop.

if you want a free dictionary application, there's always "kotoba!" My classmate and I use it in Japanese class. Most applications are expensive and say " you can draw in the Kanji!" in truth, they just use simplified or traditional chinese language. You can do the same with kotoba by simply going to your iphone/itouch settings, then i think languages, and then allowing simplified chinese. I believe Japanese use the simplified chinese for kanji

Japanese definitely does not used simplified Chinese for kanji.

I have found Anki to be very helpful.
It's a flashcard system so you can study pretty easily while on the go.

Downloading flashcards from others saves you making your own aswell.
