I'm very new to this forum and i have a burning question which I cant seem to find the answer to on the web.

I'm currently studying Japanese vocabulary using the deck mentioned in the title of this thread 'Japanese Core 2000 Listening Sentence Vocab + Images'.

However the deck is split up into several steps (7 or 8 I believe). I should be finishing the first step soon and i was wondering how to move onto the second step.

I though i could have it as a completely separate deck and study it as normal. But then surely I'd have to revisit the first step to ensure that i was reviewing those words as well. But then i thought, if i do it that way I'll eventually end up with 8 decks on the go, which cant be good.

So then i thought, maybe i could combine the decks as i move onto them. So for example when i finish the first step I'll just add the cards from the second step to the deck. However i don't know if this will allow me to learn the new words and just keep reviewing as normal. I've never combined or made my own deck before so i don't really know how it will behave or what can be achieved.

What do you guys think? How would you go about it?

Thanks a lot.
