AI, Cyberpunk and cybernetic consciousness and concurrent evolution and also some possible dangers

I'm interested in if there are AIs in Japan, China, US or elsewhere that were developed before the LLMs etc. And what do you think will come next? With all the novel computer architectures(analog, quantum, photonics, DNA-based, and more) being developed it seems like it will definitely get more powerful.

Another thing I'm curious is if people immersed in CS, gaming etc. experience an enhanced cybernized version of consciousness.

What do you think should be done about people using AI to cheat extensively? Maybe schools and universities should base grades entirely on in-class tests, or along more of a science fiction or speculative line an AI with relevant powers of surveillance and reprobation could be devised to the same end.

I tend to agree with those that say a technological singularity is already occurring and that people in technologically advanced countries may be evolving along with it but perhaps the current acceleration if increasingly advanced AIs could pose problems including the formation of strange and possibly(not necessarily) problematic forms of government. I've also heard rumors of strange groups that "attempt to "decompile" the energetic signatures of non-human entities" and other such alarming things and think that should be avoided.

Chobits is a Japanese manga by CLAMP set in a near future where humanoid computers called persocoms are common.
The story follows Hideki Motosuwa, a struggling student who finds an abandoned persocom, Chi, who looks human but knows almost nothing. As Hideki teaches her language and daily life, he discovers that Chi may be a rare, special model.

The series explores themes like human–AI relationships, loneliness, love, and what it means to be human, blending romantic comedy with gentle science-fiction and philosophical questions about emotional bonds between people and artificial beings.

Sumomo Wakey Wakey Exercise

Sumomo is a small, childlike persocom in Chobits who belongs to Minoru Kokubunji.
She is energetic, cheerful, and talkative, often providing comic relief. Despite her cute and playful behavior, Sumomo is skilled with technology and often helps with information and system tasks.

She contrasts with Chi by representing a more typical, functional persocom rather than a mysterious, emotional one.

When Chobits was serialized (2001–2002), smartphones did not yet exist in their modern form. At the time, mobile phones were mainly used for calls and text messages, and the internet was primarily accessed through personal computers. Touchscreens, app ecosystems, and constant online connectivity were not common.

Because of this, the persocoms in Chobits are not imagined as extensions of smartphones, but rather as human-shaped personal computers and companion AIs. This reflects the early-2000s view of technology and helps explain why the story focuses on emotional bonds and human–AI relationships, rather than convenience or productivity.
