Hello everyone. I just had yet another unfortunate dealing with canceling a service in Japan after returning from abroad.
I returned from another study abroad program recently and at the end I had to have my internet service canceled. An ordeal that for some reason took being put endlessly on hold and contacting multiple companies, both the NTT and Yahoo BB.excite.
I check my credit card bill and notice I have three charges that lead up to over $100. They charged me for April, and they charged me for this month and then $50 more on top of that. No explanation. The router was returned. I'll have to call them, some how, and find what is going on. However, I've had nothing but hell trying to cancel and am seriously getting ripped off here. There was no cancellation charge told to me, and the service was canceled long ago. I've told me bank to stop any further payment to the company.
Simply put, I feel I've been robbed after my experience and I'm wondering if there is any organization that handles lousy business like this in Japan. In the United States we could call a news station like Call 3, or waste time with the BBB, but what about Japan?
