Im 16 years old and 188cm is that considered tall in japan because at my school most guys are around the same height (1/4 is taller or something like that)
Yes that is very tall in Japan. I'm about the same as you but 3 years older. Japanese people that you'ill meet will make comments on your height, and for walking trough doors (train doorway included) you might have to duck sometimes.
But don't worry, after all being tall in Japan (and maybe throughout the world) is considered to be a very positive feature. And once you get here, you'ill thank God that he didn't make you look like some of the Japanese men here with an extremely childish looking body.
