360, Revolution and the Playstation 3.

The 3 are great , but my favorite is Nintendo since always , the link's games ( i mean the zelda's games , well Link is the hero aren't?) Mario's games, Smash Bros and of course the Residents are my favorite games .

Nintendo Revolution all the way! I like the controller, portability, ability to play many older nintendo games, and the promised internet connection. If Nintendo lives up to its words, it seems the Revolution will be a great system, plus they say we'll even have our own pick of colors!

I'm not saying that the other systems are bad, I just like the Revolution better.

I can't wait for Tekken 6 for PS3.... Its gonna be soooo niz

I have seen the 360 in action at the lounge in my school and I wasn't really wooed by it. The graphics were pretty good, but it just didn't seem like it was revolutionizing anything. Also, the lack of true backwards compatibility was a real let-down. Speaking of "revolution", the Nintendo Revolution has succeeded in grasping my attention. The movement-sensitive controller seems to be the superior tool for any first-person shooter. Imagine a survival/horror like Resident Evil and how you will be able to react much faster! If something jumped out at you, you could instantly pull your gun or other weapon and save yourself. It is much easier to be immersed in a game, when your own movement can mean the difference between life or death (Or lossing an important crop depending on the game). The full backwards compatibility and capability to download NES, SNES, and N64 games puts it pretty high up there with me.

I've been supporting the playstion ever since I got one, (probably because it was the first console I got ) and I have no doubts about the ps3. When I saw the new nintendo, I didn't really like the look of it.. but I guess the saying "Never judge a book by its cover" so to speak (if thats even a saying), would come into play. But doesn't the controller just look uncomfortable?

I am for the PS3, Always have and always will. The PS3 has a lot of advantages going in. They have the Blue-Ray Disc. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The X-BOX live is great and all, but Playstation is already working around that. They will also utilize the PSP and the PS3 as the two key portals to all of your home and away entertainment.

The PSP will be able to send data to the PS3 (for example, pop the memory stick from your digital camera into your PSP while on vacation and send photos home). The PSP will also be able to control the DVR functions of the PS3.
But of course you have to have a PSP to do this.

Very awesome.. Does anyone know how much a psp costs on average these days in japan? Im planning on going there, and i'm thinking of getting one while im there!

Im guessing it's a lot more expensive in Japan than anywhere else. But I need to get one just because that's an awesome feature that will boad well with me.

If that story is accurate and Merrill Lynch is right, I can't wait to see Sony fanboys' reactions when they need to drop a G before they even get a game. Xbox 360 has its problems, but Sony hardware hasn't been the greatest either. Looks like I'll be playing my 360 exclusively until about 2009.

That's retail suicide! $900!! I thought it was going to be around $300. Hmm

Looks like I will have to save up, and for that price, it better be better than X-Box!!

When is the playstation 3 coming out? I have search on a european release date, but I can't find anything..........Does anybody know when it comes to europe?

Well I know that they have just delayed the release. So, I am guessing sometime earlier next year.

I'm hearing mid-november

Mid-November for this year? Hmm, even better!! Don't you guys in Japan get it a month before everyone else? Can't remember, but I hope it's mid- November.

I can't wait. I intentionally did not buy a PS2 because I knew the next one would be backward compatible (and also because I'm in college) so I figured I might as well save.

Man, I'm gonna have one heck of a backlog to fill once I get this baby!

The following is from the magazine PSM. May 2006, issue 110. pg.10-11.

Shared Experience
PS3 owners will, according to several of PSM's development sources, be able to use their systems as "lifestyle servers"- other people on their buddy lists will be avle to access a sort of blog or "bulletin board" hosted on their system, even when it's not in use. One example PSM was given involved PS3 owners being able to record video journals to their consoles using the next-generation EyeToy, which could then be viewed by anyone they wanted. THis falls in line with comments made by sony at E3 2005 about the possibility of using PS3 as one's own "TV station" in a sense.

PSP Enters the Picture
PSM has previously confirmed that PS3 will ship with the ability to stream video, audio, photos, and even save game data to it's PSP, no matter where they are in the world, as long as they can connect to the internet. Now we've learned that the portable will factor into the equation in yet another way. Users will be able to take photos and record video with their PSP and send them to thier PS3s from wherever they are. They can then access them at a later time, view them when they get home, or choose to share them with friends. PSP can also be used to view photos and videos shared on your friends' PS3 consoles over the internet.

TiVo on the Go
Speaking to developers, Sony has also reaffirmed it's plans to build digital video recorder, or TiVo-like features into the PS3 (similat to the Sony PSX). More details have emerged concerning the functionality, specifically as it relates to PSP. According to several of our sources, Sony has shown mock-ups of a PSP application- Potentially part of a future firmware update- that can be used to browse TV listings and set up programs to record over the internet. The PSP can also be used to watch recorded programs streamed to it by their PS3s at home.

Chat, PS3 Style
When PS3 owners are at home, developers have been told, they'll be able to video chat with multiple people on their friends list simultaneously using the EyeToy. However, they will also be able to use a PSP camera/Microphone to video chat with friends who are at their PS3s or connected to the internet via the PSPs using a new feature that will track the availibility of their friends. The interface is said to be identical on the PS3 and PSP in order to keep things as straightforward as possible.

They also mention a New PSP. They say that the new PSP will be a slimmer, trimmer model, and that it's in development. It features a built-in photo/video camera and microphone, along with at least four gigabytes of onboared flash memory (in addition to a Memory Stick slot)

I can't wait for this thing to come out. But hopefully it's not as expensive as the rumors say it is. But it looks like you need a PSP to get most of those features. Most likely I won't.

If anyone dusent like the nintendo revolution whitch i know some people dont the revolution will have a controller that will alow you to connect to the revolution controller you know how you put a sega dream cast memory card in the controller? it will become like that with the control and i have a video of the systems that will be included with the revolution but ill just tell you if you dont know one will be the NES two will be the super nintendo three will be the nintendo 64 4 will be the nintendo game cube and five will be the nintendo revolution 5 systems in one for the price of 150 to 200$ ill go for the nintendo revolution because i hate the xbox 360 and the Ps3 is too too too much cash in other words 500$ for a system that will not play the Ps2 or Ps1 games because of the graphics and internet. I can't wait for God of War 2 to come out. Thefirst one was such a great game. It will be coming out in the spring of 2007, just after the worldwide launch of the PS3. The game will be for the PS2 though.

The PS3 Difference

Like I mentioned earlier in my posts, and what Da Monstar Reiterated. Is that every PS3 game will come on a Blu-ray disc. So, this will be a Huge score for us PS2 fans, giving us a more detailed environment in our videogames.

"The extra storage space will also sometimes be used to fit every country's version of a game onto a single disc. Furthermore, Sony will not impose a regional lockout in the games, although publishers will have the option to do so if they wish. Just think, if a hot title hits Japan first, not only could you import it and play it on you U.S. PS3, but the full English game could very well be on the Japanese Disc!"

Now that's awesome!

Out with the New Controller?

As you may or may not know, Sony has remade the controller. It looks, or should I say looked, like a boomerang. It looked very awkward. But now rumors have it that the boomerang is out, and the New version will be re-unveiled.

I liked the original controllers, but I guess they have to do something to change things up and compete with it's competitors.
