Going waaaay back in the time machine for this one. A local museum has one of these and I got to ride in it one day on a tour. Anybody here familiar with them?

A friend of mine used to own one. This was back in 1973, when I first arrived in Japan courtesy of the US Air Force. His car wasn't in the best of condition, but it was a lot of fun to drive.

He sold the car to a guy who had it customized by a pro. The customization included a gorgeous dark blue paint job, replacing the upholstry, and replacing the engine with a Mazda rotary. That little car would really scoot after that.

A friend of mine in England has one with a 1200cc Corolla drivetrain. The car was converted in the 70's and used for hillclimb races. He says it's so quick, it's "indecent"!
