Hello,
1. This is the start of an email from one friend to another.
a) Is the purpose of the first sentence to introduce この間話した美味しい喫茶店 as a topic or theme for what follows?
b) Who is the likely subject(s) of 話した? The writer? His friend? Both?
c) Does 美味しい喫茶店 in the first sentence refer to a specific 喫茶店 or to 美味しい喫茶店 in general?
2. This is in an email from one friend to another:
What is the purpose of って here? (Apologies if I have asked similar questions previously.)
3. Two characters talking in a 喫茶店:
a) じゃない here means that the second cup is *not* free, right?
b) 自由じゃない, with the right context and intonation, could be suggesting that it *is* free, right?
c) Does the よ in 自由じゃないですよ preclude this from being a suggestion that it *is* free in any context?
Sorry, I know I have asked similar questions before.
Translation given: "God created man in his own image."
I suppose された must be honorific form, right?
Translation given: "You'll need a temporary bridge."
What form of what verb is いれます? Is it possible that it should be いります (要ります)?
