Hi,

1. 怒りのため、着地で勢いあまって突っ込み気味になり、 箒から降りる時も少しよろめいた。

I am not certain of the grammar around 突っ込み気味になり. Is 気味 a suffix attaching to the stem of 突っ込む? Is 突っ込み気味 a noun phrase? Is the sentence (literally) saying that he became in a state of 勢いあまって突っ込み気味?

2. ロンとハーマイオニーが何事かと様子を見に、芝生を横切ってこっちに向かっ ていた。

Is と quoting 何事か, meaning that the action 様子を見に was performed as if to answer that question? Does it imply that they actually said 「何事か」?

気味 ぎみ can be used as a suffix. 連用形 = te form more or less.

2. Yup

2)
何事かと means 何事が(=何が)起こったのかとでもいうように "wondering what's happened". 何事か is not used in real life. (It sounds like language used in the army.) 何事だ can be used, though.

Thanks, in (1) is the person who crash-landed the subject of なり? Is it saying that this person became in a state of 勢いあまって突っ込み気味?
