手ごろな店を知ってるから

"Because I know a reasonable shop" (price-wise)
1. The added な is because 手ごろ is a noun that also needs it like the な adjectives?
2. 知ってる is an ending I could not find any where. Meaning?
3. Does somebody know of a non Japanese place where to find all the possible endings?. The best I know of is Timwerx, but it doesn't cover everything.

な shows that 手頃[ごろ] is LITERALLY a na-adjective. The possessive particle should be の for nouns.

That's a common contraction of 知っている.

Thanks. It was shown as "adjectival noun/common noun" in my dictionary and I wasn't sure of what it meant.
So 知る must be used in progressive tense in this sentence.
I just hope it to be the only one that needs to be used in that way because it sounds so unnatural in english (or in spanish at any rate).

The most common difinition of "noun" in Japanese grammar is 1) the word that takes the possessive particle の, 2) the word that can be the subject of a normal/natural sentence with the particle が, and the object with を. Actually, sometimes it's tough to say if a word belongs to noun or adjective.

Unfortunately, there are so many this type of verbs, 瞬間動詞, in Japanese.

Yes ～ている can denote the progressive form of a verb, but it's a lot more flexible than that. In this case, with 知る, 知っている functions more like state of being.

You use 知っている to say you know something, because you already (and still) know it (the state of being of knowing).
