四字熟語「yoji-jyukugo」

This is another freature in Japanese usage that is plainly borrowed from Chinese idioms but read in Japanese manner. How much does anyone in the forum knows about yoji-jyukugo, I would want to start a thread called, yoji-jyukugo rally when I know players are ready.

I don't think that counts. They all have to be kanji.

you are right, I forgot to use Kanji for の which is 之。
so I stand corrected, your butterfly's dream is supposed to be 胡蝶之夢。

I would like to employ sound instead of Kanji for this rally to make it easier to connect to the next one. Just like what Glenn did on the two-syllable youso shiritori. Example in your case is the sound of よう。 So I will continue with
羊頭狗肉「ようとうくにく」
he cries wine and sells vinegar

去者必反: This one I'm throwing a wild guess (because it seems not existent in Japanese yoji-jyukugo) means "each person who leaves is bound to return"?? ☺
