Hi,
1. 金太郎は相撲が強くて優しい人です。
In what sort of sense is 優しい being used here?
2. キアラさんはどんなところが違うと思うかな?
My translation: "I wonder what points you [Kiara] think are different?"
a) Does かな express the speaker's wondering (as opposed to Kiara's, I mean)?
b) Is キアラさん is the subject of 思う?
3. キアラさんの歴史の先生の山本先生もきと喜んで手伝ってくれるはずです。
My translation: "I'm sure your [Kiara's] history teacher, 山本先生, will be pleased to help you too."
a) 喜 has the furigana き. I assume that's a mistake, right?
b) Is きと a mistake for きっと?
4. This is the start of an email from one friend to another:
紙芝居について知りたいようで嬉しいわ。
I could guess this means "I'm pleased that you want to know (more) about 紙芝居", but really I do not understand 知りたいようで too well.
a) Is the subject of 知りたい the addressee?
b) Does で indicate the reason why the speaker is 嬉しい?
c) What is the purpose of よう?
