Hi,


1. 「少し空けてくれや、太っちょ」

I essentially understand what this means, but what exactly are や and っちょ? Is the latter just a diminutive suffix maybe?


2. ・・・おじさんの手から銃をひったくり、まるでゴム細 工の銃をひねるかのようにやすやすと丸めて一結びにし 、・・・

What is the purpose of か? Is it necessary for the sense of the phrase?


3. 「さよう、まだ自己紹介をしとらんかった」

What is しとらんかった?


4. 「紅茶よりちょいと強い液体だってかまわんぞ。まあ、 あればの話だがな。」

What does あればの話だがな mean?

や is a (male) sentence final particle, similar to よ.

太っちょ means "fatty". The etymology of っちょ is unknown.

2)
か emphasizes "as if".

3)
しておらんかった ＝ していなかった

おらん is a negative of おる.

4)
if you have
(something like I'm talking about a story "if you have it".)

Sorry, in (4) I cannot grasp your explanation of how the meaning is obtained. Should I view あればの話 as a set phrase?

（～ば）の話 emphasizes that the following/preceding topic is an assumption. You can ignore の話, since the meaning is the same. ～の話 is used to make it sound softer.

まあ、 あればの話だがな ＝ まあ、 （お酒が）あれば、だがな
できればの話だけど、明日来てくれないかな ＝ できれば、明日来てくれないかな
例えばの話、彼が来なかったらどうする？ ＝ 例えば、彼が来なかったらどうする？
