Hi Everyone,
Can you use ひさしぶり for the following?
In Casual English you sometimes say...
"Hey you've lived here for a while?...."
then you might follow up with a question for example where's the DVD rental shop?

I'm trying to be casual and ask
tanakasan you've lived here a long time haven't you?...

田中さんは久しぶりここに住んでいるんだろう?

how does that sound?
よろしくお願いします

No, definitely no.

田中さんはいつもここに住んでいるのですか?

ひさしぶり is more an expression, than it is a word.

Also, i'm not entirely sure if ん can serve as a substitute for の in this case, so I'll play it safe.

thanks Yzlotsan.
It is probably better to play safe anyway.
いつも feels more like your asking "have you always lived here?" or can it be translated as a long time or quite a while?

ひさしぶり expresses a situation that you stoped doing something for a while and then do it again, for instance, you had been in Japan, but went to Australia for a while, and then come back to Japan, ひさしぶりに日本に帰ってきた is used. Thus, ひさしぶり can be used in your example. I would use 長い間, or more colloquially 長いこと instead, e.g., 田中さんは長いことそこに住んでいるんじゃないの?
There's no problem to use ん there, or rather, more common in such colloquial expressions.

Your "feeling" about いつも is correct.
