「煽り」?

Yet again I'm trying to translate a band member's blog entry, and a single word is keeping me from completion: 煽り. I'm familiar with this word in its literal meaning, but I'm pretty sure the context here changes it into something I can't understand nor find in any of my translation resources.

Here's the full entry - the first half I've finished, the second half is where 煽り pops up. I hope this is enough context

Live shows
Actually, maybe I really don't like them that much. There are musicians out there who feel that being on stage is everything, and that's well and good, but I think my single greatest pride in the musical world that I've created is our CDs. I do use live shows as a place to make announcements, though.
「煽り」は俺がライブの中でもとくに好きじゃ無いところ。イベント出たら10バンド中ほぼ9～10バンドくらいが煽りやもん。まあときどきやるけどね。めっちゃ俺が煽り好きって思ってる人は誤解してる。

I understand the rest of that paragraph... I just don't understand what 煽り is, and what it has to do with 9-10 bands out of 10. :?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Since no one appears to be responding, I'll give a try.

First, the way "aori" (sorry for writing in romaji) is used here is obviously "band musician" lingo and not used in the standard way. However, you should be able to tell from a dictionary that it means something like "agitate, incite or build up excitement." When applied to bands performing in a concert, I think you'll be able to imagine how the musician is using it. It most likely is used to mean to "excite the crowd" and "play to the audience" -- which can mean anything from making the audience sing along, going closer to them, playing harder or louder, throwing a towel he wiped his perspiration with, etc., etc.,

I guess the person interviewed doesn't like it because he probably feels he is fawning to the public if he does that. Maybe he wants the fans to understand his music as it is and not through gimmicks.

Hmm... yeah, that is a big help. I had found the "incite/agitate" meaning of the kanji at a few dictionary sites, but I guess between them all I ended up with so many different possible meanings for the term, I was too confused to actually apply it in that way. Or something.

I had a feeling it might've been a silly question, but I wanted to make sure (plus it was a new term to me and I was curious), so I really appreciate your help. Sometimes it just takes a second brain to untangle a knot Thank you for replying!
