Hello,

Sorry for asking again, if possible could you please help me with following sentence:

「ああ こんなひに うちに だれかが まっていて くれたらな

Could the translation be

"Oh, in such a day, someone should not wait when to came home".

Please kindly correct me, if my translation is wrong.

Thank you very much! :sorry:

Again, isn't it っていて くれたらな?;-)

Oh, another mistake, so sorry. :sorry:
I really need to sleep.
Thank you so much for correcting me.

くれる means "to do me a favor", and ~たらな(あ) expresses the speaker's wish.

"I wish someone would wait for me to come home in such a day."

Thank you so much for your kind explanation.

I could understand that Verb + たら is used to indicate unrealized condition whereas な(あ) used to strengthen expression.

You can think it as an abbreviation of ~たらいいのになあ in this case. :)
