How to know if someone likes/loves you without asking them?
any hints they give?

I dont think he plays for that side, 😊
If a girl doesn't scream at you and run away thats an indication that she doesn't not like you.

i'll tell you right now. If they haven't even told you they like you, they most certainly don't love you. The best you can get is a love-like infatuation that will likely fizzle out once they spend more time with you.

Spend time with them and get to know them; if they develop feelings for you they'll let you know when the time is right. Real love comes from really getting to know someone, not before.

Well, I was going to say "Ask Them", untill I opened the thread and read that post...

...nah, I'm still going to say "Ask Them".

Unless you're incapable of communication, there's really no point in not asking right?

It's like trying to figure out if a balloon is red without looking at it...

"Well, I asked my freind--and he said he thought the balloon was red--but he's a little colorblind so I asked my other freind, and he said..."

Just ask.

Trust me, it makes things alot easier in the long run--regardless of what the answer is.

For telling whether someone likes you... I'd say... if they treat you nicely, seem happy to talk with you, smile at you, greet you when you come into the room, it's a fairly safe bet that they at least quite like you and don't find you totally repulsive. Come on, you can tell, can't you, when a person (male or female) really does like you and isn't just making a big effort to be nice?

For telling whether someone loves you... you can't know it. You need to get to know them better! You can even be going out with someone for ages and still not know whether he or she really loves you - and of course, it all depends on what you mean by that difficult word, too. If you mean how do you tell if a girl fancies you - well, if she likes you, that's a good start. If you then ask her out to something (or do some other special thing towards her like a gift or particular help), and she looks pleased about it and accepts, you're in with a reasonable chance.

But you didn't need that spelling out, surely? :o

I think what you're looking for are those non-verbal clues. ;-) Well, I think you can tell when you look into someone's eyes if they are genuine or just faking being nice to you. But if a girl doesn't talk to you much, avoids you or whatever, it can be hard to tell whether she is maybe just shy. But after you pay her a bit of attention you'll be able to see beyond that. If her avoidance of you is because she can't stand the sight of you, it tends to become obvious after a while. 😌

1) the look into eyes, but if it`s unreadable then

2) say "I love you" and watch the reaction (if you feel it`s a right time for you to say so, if you feel otherwise then ask yourself "do i love her/him?")

If you are trying to know whether a Japanese person likes you or not, it's kind of hard to tell because they can use "tatemae" and just be nice to you without involving much emotions.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!

Look what I found-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes the direct approach is best - just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs.

Behavior

Steps:
1. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question. Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?

2. Is this person "accidentally" running into you in places where he or she knows you will be, such as at your desk? At the Laundromat on Tuesdays? At your brother's birthday party?

3. Make a note if he or she mentions future plans to spend time with you: "That band is coming to town soon. We should really get tickets."

4. Spend time alone together. Canceling other plans in order to be with you longer, or not finding excuses to leave, could be a sign of interest.

5. Has he or she been calling for random reasons, such as, "I was wondering if you knew what that pizza place down the street is called," followed by, "Are you hungry?"

6. Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something - and it's probably not your stamp collection.

7. Observe how the person acts around your friends - he or she might be extra friendly to your closest pals for a reason.

Body Language

Steps:
1. Sometimes seeing someone you have a crush on results in telltale physiological signs. Does the person in question blush when you look at him or her? His or her sympathetic nervous system is probably going into overdrive. Does he or she have trouble speaking, using jumbled words when talking to you?

2. See if the person in question mirrors your motions: When you lean back, he or she leans back; when you put your elbows on the table, he or she does the same.

3. Note whether this person sits or stands in the open position - that is, facing you with arms uncrossed. In addition, a woman tends to cross her legs in a man's direction.

4. Does he or she move closer to you and/or touch you subtly, such as with a pat of your hand or a touch of your cheek?

5. Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away, energetic speech coupled with open hands, and flashing palms.

6. Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

You should always make eye contact with the special one. Sometimes if you don't make eye contact with them, they might think that you don't like them and not ask you out or say, "No" when you ask them out. Really, who would like that?

Women, be direct with men. Usually men ask women out more directly than women do men. At least the majority of men don't flirt and play stupid games of subtlety. Men usually get to the point within 3 sentences if they are asking a girl out. But women have to speak 3 languages at once when it sounds like English and choose whatever definition they want for their words later. Say what you mean and mean what you say!

Don't be annoying! Guys hate when a girl is smart; it makes them feel dumb (so I'm told).

He/she will stare incessantly at you throughout class and will look away embarrassingly when you catch 'em staring at you. Just smile back and good luck! :o)

You can tell that a boy likes you when he can recall little things that even you can't recall (such as what music was in your car last time he was in it)!

Next time you catch the gaze of a suspected lover, look into the pupils. It is a fact that your pupils enlarge when you see something you like.

Does he or she keep using the word "we" when talking about you two? This is a clear sign of romance.

If he/she jumps into your conversations with other people then he/she probably likes you!

Don't always think you and a person will or will not work out together, depending on sight. There is so much you can't tell about a person by sight/looks.

They look at you a lot in class. If they do the same as you (you sit back in your seat, he/she does the same). When your eyes meet you feel something

If you are talking to him at work and he doesn't let you get back to your job. He wants you to keep talkng even though neither of you should be. as for boys, I know I always look them in the eyes, then at their lips, then their eyes and down again

Do you notice your crush looking at you in the corner of your eye? When you look at them, they will look away if they're the secretive type, and they'll smile and wave if they're the assertive type

If you catch the guy you like looking at you and he notices then he cracks up laughing for no reason at all they like you. If you like them laugh as well so they know you like them!

If he or she walks really close so that you touch them or bump with every step you take, this means they are flirting! They like you romantically

People might want to show off their body or character to you more substantially than others means they definitely have a crush on you. Make sure you don't mistake this action though.

If a guy/girl is mean to you a lot and yet stares at you when you're in the same room as he/she is ...

You know he likes you if he calls you maybe 3 to 5 times a day and just finds something to ask you (e.g. what's someone's number or something not that important) and then tries to carry on a conversation with you.

If a man pulls his socks up when he's talking to you, you've got it made!

361. The right time eHow Friend
When a girl stares or look at you often, then you know that she likes what you look like. If she cares about you or what you do, speaks with you a lot (if she's not shy), smiles back when you smile at her, speaks a lot about you to her friends; she likes you. You shouldn't be shy asking her out. Sometimes a girl doesn't know when a guy really likes her.

362. Definite possibilities eHow Friend
Everyone is different, some stare when interested, others go out of their way to ignore when interested, some compliment, others make fun. It's helpful to see if a person acts differently around you, if he/she is loud normally will become soft when around you and vice versa if he/she likes you. They will try to attract your attention in various ways, it might even be bad attention, as in playing pranks on you just so you know who they are or talk about them with others, or think about them.

363. Thing to note eHow Friend
If someone notices things, like a new top, or if they remember things you've talked about weeks ago, then it's a pretty sure sign they like you.

Otherwise I think the facts Misa posted is okay, but it really differs from the person. Each individual person has a way of letting other people know when they loves/likes them, some are easy to see and others are way to complicated.

These quoted sources would be better titled "how to more effectively delude yourself and make you paranoid about the way other people think of you"... probably perfect advice for a teenager or pre-teen, though.

Before i had a girlfriend i would see girls looking at me and i dunno, i always just assumed they musta been staring at my ugly mug or something and yeah, how nobody could ever like me, well, after having a girlfriend for a while now and being in japan where my reasonable looks and foreigness gave me an appeal to girls there, i can now actually spot the women who are digging me, when before i wouldnt have noticed!. :p
Chances are theres some girls/women thats checking you out but your too out there to notice it, try and keep an eye open and take in your surroundings, chances are some women are checking you out but you aint noticing it.

Sounds about right.

Guys hate when a girl is smart; it makes them feel dumb
Well, that's just a bit of bad luck they're having, then.

If he/she jumps into your conversations with other people then he/she probably likes you!
No, it just means he/she is an annoying sod who keeps interrupting other people's conversations.

If you are talking to him at work and he doesn't let you get back to your job. He wants you to keep talkng even though neither of you should be.
He wants you to get in trouble with your boss.

If you catch the guy you like looking at you and he notices then he cracks up laughing for no reason at all they like you.
Get real. They're laughing because your skirt is accidentally tucked into your panties.

If a man pulls his socks up when he's talking to you, you've got it made!
Now that is a new one on me. I'll keep my eyes open! XD...

:D

No really; why the socks? :?
Ah, I get it; it's a Freudian symbol of - oh, never mind... 😊

You can never tell if someone likes you,
not even if they spend the night with you.
The only way is to ask the person right out.
Love is a one way street,
it's something you give.
You can't recieve love, it's always something you give.
That is why it doesn't matter if someone else loves you,
the important thing is that you love them.
It's possible to love someone who hates you,
but I wouldn't recommend it. :-)
The same with spending the night with someone you don't know likes you or not, it's just not especially healthy. I can do it, but I'm a psychological masochist :D

its a strange thing. before i meet my gf i would try and try to keep and eye for girls that like me in some way or another.

now often whenever we go somewhere with my gf she will notice other girls looking at me and checking me out... or they will do the talk in japanese so fast i cant understand them.

Here is how I found out my husband liked me. I was going out with his mate and a group of us were in the pub. I said to my then boyfriend "What do you think is my best feature?" He replied "Your brain". Simon (who admittedly had consumed a few alcoholic beverages) said "Your tits!" 😲
Can you believe I married that guy? :D

I think you saw his inner ability to be honest with you Tsu, a bloke who goes drinking at a pub and says a girls best feature is her brain is obviously completely sloshed or lying to get some hankey spankey. :p

My girlfriend is always noticing other folk checking me out, its odd because as far as ive always known nobody ever checks me out, infact its only just recently ive relised a few actually do.

Look at the pic of me and if you look just slightly like me you know the chance ,that somebody fancys you is ->0

Well, I thought the way you could tell was when they would come up and hit you a lot, and passed you notes with the little "yes" "No" "Maybe" Boxes for you to check. I guess I am a little elementary on that.

Overall, it's pretty hard to tell since there are some pretty fake people out there in the world. But I like the straight up, "hey do you want to go out some time." Then if they reject you, then I am thinking it's a no. But if they still talk to you after that, then they like you as a friend.

I don't know, Im only human!!!!

It all depends on the person. Different people have different ways of showing affection, I guess.🙂
