We could feel it here in Kanto, too.

Meanwhile, Aomori is cleaning up after Monday's tremor.

In Hachinohe, residents near the NTT building were evacuated as Monday's earthquake damaged the rooftop tower. The city of Hachinohe issued an evacuation order on Thursday to residents of 48 households in the city centre. City officials say telecom firm NTT East informed them that the quake had damaged the steel tower. The jolt registered an intensity of 6.5 on the Japanese seismic scale of 0 to 7. The building is about 30 metres tall. The tower on its roof is about 70 metres high. NTT says detailed examinations showed that one of the tower's four pillars had been broken and that multiple bolts had come off.
