Slow day here, rainy. Here are a couple oddities. The one is a calcite crystal that I once got in a collection of different rocks and minerals. One characteristic is the odd refraction--it's on a single line, but it makes it look doubled.
The other is a meteorite, from the weight/feel of it, iron-nickel (maybe the second most common type). Ones like this were some of the earliest sources of metal (like way back in the B.C. times), since it was already metal, no mining or refining needed. Just heat it and hammer it into something, like King Tut's dagger.

What do you mean by Fujifilm? Is that a camera brand? You're not literally shooting 35mm film are you??
I have a nicer fujifilm mirrorless body, looks and can be operated a lot like an old school SLR . I have three lenses--18-55mm zoom ('kit' lens, came with the camera, but I like it--versatile), a wide 10-24mm zoom, and a 30mm fixed (this one does have autofocus, but aperture is manual, set it at something and the camera will choose shutter speed--or you can control that too).
Given the mirrorless sensor design/size, for the full frame equivalent multiply by 1.5. So 18-55 is really 27-83, 10-24 is really 15-36, and so on.
I'm not a telephoto person, I don't see things or frame them in my mind that way. I guess something a little longer would be okay, maybe up to about 120mm equivalent. They do make a 16-80mm (which would be 24-120 equivalent), that I've looked at, maybe someday trade in the 18-55 towards that?

Ah ok. It's been so long since I've heard of non-point and shoot cameras other than Canon and Nikon I almost forgot they existed. Anyway you're getting great shots with both devices.

These people are very generous I mean like all the liquor you could drink but I brought over some pasta and I made the pasta and enough for all of us actually like two servings for each of us so everybody was sharing and carrying and was such a really a very great experience for Foreigner who speaks the same little Japanese and it was pretty cool man you want a beer as well I guess so so I sat down with them then we start talking and then they started cooking I said hey man let me make some pasta for you guys so I brought over I don't know maybe a pound of pasta a couple bags of sauce and yeah I had a good time stayed there till midnight actually I must admit we all got pretty smashed.
How about a nice red one--no cropping, no editing, direct from the phone (but downsized). This bloom was a little turned over/down, so sky in the background, a bonus.
Also, my wife was playing for a much bigger cruise ship yesterday:
Look close and along the upper two decks you can see people. I think this is MSC Bellissima. (Probably out of my price range.)

A few more. I set off for and tried the Shiratani hike today, but didn't get very far--it got too steep and rough for this old body's accumulated wear and tear (younger folks were zooming right by me). So after making it to this tree, and then descending a little and trying an alternate route, I gave up and returned to the car. Ah, well... at least I didn't have to be rescued. The really mossy place that I wanted to get to, alas, will remain unreached and unattained... (this tree is less than halfway to that)

Maybe one more, the entrance/trailhead to this hike, some signage on the right.
We have one more day tomorrow, will go sightseeing by car instead of on foot.

Here's a few pictures of ishigaki still camping here been here almost one month.
I like the island it's good for cycling I actually don't have the right cycling bike to go really cycling here but the bus transportation is not too bad.
P it's a beautiful Island sounds very simple lifestyle once you get out of the big city there I don't know if it's really big city but once you get out of the big city it's really down to earth people where many of the people actually have their businesses for tourism right out of their house mostly cafes and coffee and then noodles they have here soba it's pretty cool place.
The prices are just unimaginable but people get by paying the prices some prices are reasonable but I would say 90% of what you buy is about 50 and more upper item.
But vegetables and fruit is just it's like what happened to society.
Here's some prices of a cafe it's kind of like a 24-hour cafe right now it's closed till the end of the month reason why I'm checking it out is because I might actually try to find a job here and I need a place to stay at night while downtown.
This is the beach right next to the campground it's pretty cool come people come here and do some snorkeling and kayaking I was quite surprised that there's quite a few foreigners here living here actually.
This bus offers you a one day pass for $10 or 5-day pass for about $20 I buy the 5-day pass I seem to use it everyday so it's well worth it.

These are some of the trees here I haven't been able to take any pictures of the banana tree I believe they call them monkey bananas and I was given some and they are like what bananas used to taste like 50 years ago so delicious.
Today I'm going to check out this restaurant for a job she would happens yeah actually I'm pretty happy with what I'm doing right now with my life although I maintain a main Island address and an apartment but it would be nice to kick back on this island man it's pretty cool.
