思ひつつぬればや人の見えつらむ夢としりせばさめざらましを
I would like to use this beautiful poem in my presentation. I wish each verse from English translation appear with corresponding fragment of oryginal, Japanese text. I was trying to do it by myself, but every time I got different results.... I really wish to keep sense of this poem, without spoilig by clumsy attempts of amatour translation. Thanks
Was I lost in thoughts of love
When I closed my eyes? He
Appeared, and
Had I known it for a dream
I would not have awakened.
Ono no Komachi (小野小町)
[from KOKINSHŪ - KKS XII: 552
