That's not enough information for anyone to help, except that "shin" isn't a first name unless it's shortened or a nickname. It could be a family name if they're of Korean ancestry.

Bought back memories , LOL. My best friend in Japan in 1971-72 was Shin , Ikeda Shin. Never did find him after I left Japan.

I just shortened it. I think his name is shinichiro sato. And we met in Manila around 2010. He looks like a young takeshi kaneshiro. He's so nice. Exchanging emails for almost a year then I got too busy at work. Then one day I just lost contact from him and never tried to reach out to him coz I was shy and hesitant. I just wanna know where he is now coz I'm planning to visit japan next year.

A full name, even if it's a guess, is a lot more to go on than a shortened nickname. The world is a big place, and there are like 130 million Japanese people in it.
One approach would be to try to go back through your own correspondence and try to find contact information that may still be valid. e-mail addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, etc.
Other identifying information would be things like where in Japan he was from, how old he would be, what kind of work he did/what he was doing in Manila. Information about his family, or interests, or associations through his hobbies could also be leads. If he ever competed in a competition or some other event that would have a roster of participants... You're the one that knew him and talked to him and exchanged correspondence, it's up to you to provide identifying information if you are serious about finding this person.
Otherwise, just cherish the memories, and use it as a reminder not to get too busy to curate your personal connections to other people.

Yeah I learned a lot from my mistake of not giving time to people I know and cherish.
But will it be possible if I can post a drawing of him. Maybe anyone on this forum can recognize him?
I tried to cherish those moments but whenever I do he's always in my dreams.
st my email contacts and all those messages coz I didn't open my email anymore after I shut myself away. He stands 179-1.8 cm. He just sport his hair naturally. No hair color. He's working in an English school that time.

see my last message. There are a lot of Japanese people, and we're a small forum, with only a handful of members even in Japan (and you have no way of knowing if he's even in country). Your drawing from memory of someone you haven't seen in a decade is unlikely to be of any use. We're strangers on the internet, you're best bet is always going to be identifying information.
