I am having a lot of trouble understanding passive and causative forms, and next week it will get worse because I will have to learn passive causative.
My question is, for the examples below, does it change the verb from intransitive to transitive when used with inanimate objects?
私はハンカチをしめらせた。
I dampen the hanker chief.
チョコレートを凍らせて食べるのが好きだ。
I like to frost chocolate before eating.
