Hello from Fukuoka!

Hello JREF!

My name is Jacob and I am currently living in Fukuoka, Japan. I am working as the Student Consultant for WAHAHA Japanese Language School near Tenjin.

Before I moved to Fukuoka, I was living in Mie Prefecture for about 2 years. I also lived in the Tokyo area for almost 2 years before that. I love living in the city here in Fukuoka, but sometimes I miss the quieter, rural area where I used to live in Mie. Luckily, it is very convenient to get into the mountains and countryside from Fukuoka, so I can still go hiking or camping easily. Also, the food here is really good!

Even though I am working in a Japanese language school, I am still a student, too! Right now I am studying to take the N1 level of the JLPT. Studying Japanese has helped me enjoy living hear much more, so I want to keep improving.

I hope I can be a helpful member of the community here!

Ah, Nikolay is the person who worked here before me. He returned to his own studies full-time, but I thought I should introduce myself, since I'll be posting with this account now. I hope that's not a problem! If it is, I can make a personal account for myself, instead.

You can see how having the user name be the name of a business, having multiple people posting from the account, and having mention of and links to the business in a post can give rise to the impression that the account's actual purpose is to get the business' name before the public without paying for advertising....can't you?

Certainly! And again, apologies for using the same account as Nikolay but neglecting to mention that. I thought that posting my introduction here would be a good way to be open about where I work, but not mention it in other threads unless specifically asked. I certainly don't intend to spam advertisements or be any nuisance! Thank you for your comments!
