I got it!!
yesterday just after my graduation ceremony, I got an email from my professor saying that I got the scholarship!
I'm going to tohoku university, research student, next year I'm planning to take master degree.

Ovargasra, just wanted to ask, do you have a specific professor assigned already? Because I don't and I'm wondering if that's one of the differences between the General admission (there is already a professor assigned to you) and Special admission (applying for the programme only, without finding a professor).

The process is only just starting for me in my country (through embassy recommendation). The deadline for the applications is tomorrow and only then will it start.

Hi kibo88, as you, I don't have yet a Professor, during my application, I selected three possible professors but I still haven't contacted they. Maybe you are right and that is one difference of Special admission.

I applied college of economics. In their website they said that the result will come out around the end of June

Schedule for Studying at Universities in Japan ? Kyoto University

This says that the notification for the "special programme" (these are some japanese education related programmes) is around june. The other programmes are done earlier. This is the case for all universities.
Plus, last year the results came by the first week of May for the non special programmes.

Hello,nthuyentn and Raj Dabre...i am saw that you both are writing here from many day...i have just joined and also i want to share in my programme the deadline was in 16th May....what about you in Kyoto U?..Getting my professor acceptation and sumitting and sending my document was so rapid these time.....wht about you?...So when can i expect result....i knew one of my sister who completed her Masters in Japan she said as before discussed in this forum that i vary also department to department....i become confused about whole process....

My application process is the same with yours. Some uni have known the result, but some have not. So keep waiting to the end of June

I applied in the Graduate School of Informatics (a non special programme; yes there are 2 types of programmes). I applied in January (around 20th). I got approved by the University by 10th of February. And got my confirmation last week.
