I'm taking the shot this year, I've got only one chance since I'm turning 21 on november. I would greatly appreciate if any of you guys here share their materials. Thank you. :D

Hi all! New here. I'm planning to apply for the MEXT 2016 Undergraduate Scholarship but I'll start preparing from now. I'd be very happy if you could send me the exams from 2011 and 2012.

Hello! I just want to ask if I still have a shot at this...since I'll be turning 22 this year...does that mean that I already lost my chance to apply for next year?? or not?

Hi!! I also have a similar problem. I'm turning 21 in March and I'm just wondering if I can still apply for the Monbukagakusho Undergraduate scholarship 2015. Do I still have chance or not??

Hey everyone, I'm new here, through I have been interested in studying in Japan since forever(for about 3 years actually). And next year I'm going to give it a try, since I'll be graduating from high school. Might be that the year after that too if I fail, but I'll think about it when the time comes. What I wanted to ask was if somebody still has the examination papers from 2010 up to now, I would be very thankful if you could send them to me to [email protected] , cause at studyjapan page it only goes till 2010. And one more question, I was having a hard time choosing between medicine and arts, and I still have time to think, but my heart is going more and more to the artsy side and I'm afraid that it might be so so much harder to get into the medicine. I found out art being a part of special training college program, but that's for college, right? And if I want to study art at the university, does it count like "others"? I'm so confused about that right now :?

What's the exams I have to take for the medicine course? and it's math A or B

I believe you have to take Math B :\
I read somewhere that all natural sciences take Math B and Social Sciences take Math A

I share your sentiments when it comes to Japan! Since I was 13, I have always dreamt of being immersed in their rich culture!
Concerning your question, I'm not too familiar with the Specialised Training College. However, I do know that getting into Undergraduate Medicine is the toughest of them. The best advise I can give you is to contact your embassy directly.

Hi veronika! I've sent you the papers. If you need information, your embassy website should have the details about the application process. Any other information can be obtained by emailing them. This site has the most of the necessary stuff. Government-sponsored

Hi Neetpeek! Firstly, the year is when you'll be departing for Japan so you have to apply for MEXT 2015. Use the website above to familarise yourself with the scholarship. The application period usually begins around March-April. Keep checking your embassy websites until you see that applications are open.

Hope this helps!

Hi...!!
everyone I'm new here, beforehand, i'm sorry, perhaps my english is yet not good enough.
so i hope you can help me out, I have some questions about the scholarship
unfortunatly I'm kinda far away from the japan embassy

Hello everyone I am from California (Western USA) and I am applying for the 2015 undergraduate scholarship as well. Specifically I am applying to study Japanese. I can speak and write French and Spanish at about an intermediate level so if anyone has any questions to ask me and you feel more comfortable asking it in your mother tongue, feel free to do so.

You may be able to email your embassy, on the embassy site for my area it says that applicants can email if they have questions. So, you should check your embassy's website.

Hi! I got two questions.

1 ) Do i need to speak Japanese to get the scholarship? I literally do not speak a word of it
2 ) Is there any way that i can find pdfs of previous years exams? I don't know what to study (if you have papers can you please send to [email protected] , thank you!)

thank you

There is nothing that I have seen that states that one must know Japanese. However your score on the test does matter because the better you do the more competitive you are with others in your district. The purpose for the test is to compare applicants and decide what level classes you will take for the year of study before going into a university. Think of it this way if there are two applicants who score the same on all the test but one of them scores much higher on the Japanese test than the other, the one who is better with Japanese with likely be chosen because in all reality once in Japan he or she well not be able to use his or her native tongue to communicate with people and also all the classes will be in Japanese. So it is very important to at least study a bit of Japanese before the test. If you study at least a little you should be able to understand some of the test since it is structured to test beginners and advanced Japanese learners.

Hi guys I'm new here. I also wish to apply for monbu in the medicine field. keshant would you please send me the past year papers? Your kindness is much appreciated.

also, the application forms are out. Are there any guidelines to fill in the forms?
Anyone has any idea what the syllabus are for math B? i am having trouble doing some of the questions.

I heard that we are not allowed to work while we study through this scholarship. we'll get sent back if they find out. That's what I heard...
