Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum :-)
I'm from Guyana (this little country in South America that's apart of the Caribbean) and planning on applying for the undergraduate scholarship next year in Natural Sciences C and B.
I made the forum for others, like myself, who plan to apply for this scholarship so we can all help each other out.

Hi everyone :haihai:

I'm from Poland (Central Europe) and I'm going to apply for the undergraduate scholarship next year also, but I'm interested in conservation-restoration or something like concept art. Each of these are categorized as "others", so I may have difficulties in finding universities that can accept me. Anybody has the same problem? My embassy didn't give me a really helpful answer :(

Anyone know anything about working part-time? Or hm... nightlife? How does it look like?

I can't offer any information on your choise of study or what the "hm... nightlife" is like :D
However, I have found some information related to the part time jobs.

"-You need a special work permit (which is inexpensive) which you apply for and receive at an immigration office
- Basically it's a sheet they staple inside your passport that allows you to engage in activity outside original purpose of stay.
- Since you'll be a student, the "activity" would be "part-time" work and contracts you make with employers cannot be 'full-time' agreements
- Getting the permit will allow you to work in restaurant, covenience store, teaching english, translating
- The permit allows up to 15 hours of work per week
- I wasn't aware of a limit on how much one can earn, depends on the job (some translation and teaching jobs pay a lot for very little time worked)"

I'm a senior from Jordan. I am also applying to the scholarship. I want to apply to the natural sciences B and C, and I am very excited! I hope we all get accepted!

Yup. My first choise is Medicine and I'm guessing yours is too lol
Unfortunately, I'm having trouble deciding which option to choose from Natural Science B as my third choise D:
 
I think I'll put Medicine, Pharmacy, then food science... Not sure though.
Btw do you have the past papers for 2011-2012?

I've heard that medicine requires very good math result in the test, so do work hard for math! :)

Math is quite troublesome but I'm having more trouble scoring high in Biology D:
What field are you applying for, gardenia? :)

The stuff we have to study is alittle beyond the A level stuff I've seen in textbooks :\

How looks your japanese language? I learn it all by myself at home, so I just know a bit of grammar and words, whole kataka and hiragana and some kanji. If anybody would want, I can send in pdf version per e-mail "Basic Kanji Book Vol. 1", which was to download on MEXT's group on facebook :) As I've read they doesn't demand very good skills of japanase, but I am not really sure
 
Thanks. I managed to do the basic part and very very few questions of the intermediate one. I don't think Japanese proficiency is something they stress on. But I suppose it depends on the people applying in your country as well. If many people score very well in Japanese and the same as you in other subjects, they will have the edge.

I'm from Saudi Arabia .. Yah how prepare for the exams goes on ?
I did not started yet .-. Everyday I plan to study but at the end of the day I don't :| Actually I don't know how to start "it's the difficult part to me " =.= Maa .. Maybe i'll get excited with you and start studying :3
Also .. Will you study the past paper from 2007 to 2010 or just 2011 to 2012 ?
The way of the exams change i think ..
