[urgent] Having trouble for collecting data by prefectures

I'm doing a paper about japan crime rate. I'm outside of japan and only can access limited source for my data research. After I went through the japan statistical yearbook and the website of Japan statistic bureau, OECD Statistical Portal, LABORSTA Internet, and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (Japan), there are something i still couldn't find:

1 japan yearly population by prefectures during 1983 to 2007;
2 japan prefectural unemployment rate through year 1983 to 2007;
3 yearly income per capita or yearly GDP by prefectures.

Does anyone know how to find those please?

Oh Thank you, although wikipedia is the less appropriate source for a scholar paper but you let me know a plenty of usefull website or sources through the references.

which one is used more commonly in writen for all of you "平成9年" or "1997", please ??

I usually use 平成. But, On business, I use 1997年.
I can remember what was happened then if I use 昭和 or 平成.
