Seems to me , I heard ???

So far , no one has come up with any kanji to ward off evil , but weren't there certain tatoos of things like dragons or tigers that were thought to ward off evil??

Bradsan,
Setsubun is a holiday here where people scatter around soybeans or peanuts in homes and shout the equivalent of "Devils get out. Good luck come in." If you have taken the time to do a simple Google search you would have found out.

Don't risk some idiot making a mistake in the kanji. It's easy to do even in handwriting. You might end up with a totally different meaning and look foolish. http://www.calligraphytattoos.com/a16513-dont-let-your-kanji-tattoo-get.cfm
In addition to the tattoo artist making potential mistakes, they may out and out lie to you about the kanji meaning, or they may put it on in reverse/mirror-image, which would then make it meaningless even if it were correct.

Think symbols if nothing else. The lion statues outside shrines are protectors. Open mouth wards off evil. See pic here.

Bradsan,
Would you please add punctuation to your posts?!!!?!! Geez! Are you 9 years old?

I just reread your other post and now see that you are asking for other things to ward off evil spirits. That's how hard it is to understand what you write! Double geez! A simple search will show you what other things help ward off evil spirits. Certain talismans or amulets, dolls, bean throwing at Setsubun, etc.

If I had noticed you before I would have said something before.

Actually, this is one situation where age does matter in some cases. People above a certain age were exposed to several years instruction in grammar, spelling, punctuation and composition and we tend to think that those who fail to demonstrate even the slightest bit of proficiency in any of those skills must still be too young to have started receiving instruction in those areas yet. Hence the perception that you write like a nine year old.

What those of us who underwent that instruction often don't know or fail to realize is that such instruction has largely been abandoned in the years since we left school. The schools fail to provide adequate instruction and with the advent of the internet we have people such as yourself taking as their models others who also have p*ss-poor language skills and who wallow in their ignorance as blissfully as any pig ever wallowed in sh*t....and equally oblivious to how bad what they are doing stinks.

your going into every forum im in to make off topic comments about how i type let it go man

You asked a direct question regarding why we never said anything before. I answered it.

Personally, I have long been an adherent of the aphorism "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig."

So, if age doesn't matter, then take it like an adult.

You write poorly. Punctuate, please. Then, again, Mike Cash may be right.

I love tattoo's of chinese characters... especially when a non-reader gets them outside of Japan or China!
I don't know how many guys/girls get them and they are told "oh that means love" just to find out it means to love the same gender.. oops! One of the guys I work with had this tattoed on his arm and my wife saw it.. she later asked me if he was gay and when I said no she started laughing... poor guy.
I don't know of any specific kanji wards against evil... I think you are looking into this too mystically. I asked my father in law who is religious and he said that there was nothing he could think of either... he is Shinto and Budhist (like most Japanese he does not prefer one over the other but takes the best of both).
My only suggestion is to figure out what you want to say and talk to a priest... if he is willing to even entertain helping you make a tattoo to ward off evil... Then and only then would you have a "protection ward".
Otherwise I would take the suggestions of others and look into animal, mythical, or religious sybolism to be your ward. Doing anything else may make you the brunt of someones joke. 😊

What??? Is this what you mean?

"You're visiting every forum in which I have posted to make off-topic comments regarding how I type? Let it go, man."

Writing like a 9 year old isn't a style, it's pathetic if you aren't 9. Seriously, they have very good points. They want to help you originally, but you are making them suffer in their attempt to even UNDERSTAND you, because you can't make the effort to express yourself clearly!

If you want help, make the effort to at least express yourself correctly. This isn't asking much.

You're only hurting yourself.

I have a standard comment.

"If YOU don't think we are worth the few seconds it takes to show us the consideration of properly spelling and punctuating sentences, and framing proper, grammatical ones, why should WE think YOU are worth the effort and time of replying to you?"

Bradsan, don't worry about these guys.

I will translate for you (But as many people have pointed out , exact translations can't be assured, so I take no responsibility)

"文法不得意"

That should about do it. Cheers

And Bradsan, not using puntuation could affect your future relationships if you are not careful, just take a look at this excerpt from this documentary.
