1. St Matthew and the Angel , 1602 (Caravaggio)
I like this painting because it was too much for the people at that time, and because of that he needed to paint it again.

A painting I liked before I got into art myself. I have seen it in the Rijksmusuem in Amsterdam and if been to the room where it used to hang a long time ago and where they cut of the i sides because it was large for that room.

Love the colors and what he did with the shadow effects.
