Made of stone: I've found that as I've gotten older and time seems to be going by even faster that my age doesn't matter so much, but I don't mind if others want to know how old I am. It seems like kind of an accomplishment to have gotten so far through life already with no fatalities!!
Yes indeed, we are very lucky to be here, it's a tremendous blessing. Illness or terrible tragedy can strike at any time, every moment is precious (but how fast they fly by!) Let's make the most of every minute!!!
That's one reason why, though I should really get my career back on track this year in a big way, my first priority is to have a much-deserved holiday for myself, starting in India. The second priority is to visit my friends around the world, especially in Japan, that I haven't seen for far too long. The third is re-launching my career.
General 'wisdom' here in the UK tells me my list should be reversed, but I don't care! Life can be short, so follow your heart to the end of your dreams, I say!
As I slowly get to know Jref I see there's a very active J-music scene here. That's not really my thing (I only have a few favourites like Supercar, DJ Emma House and Ego-Wrappin') but it's a very encouraging sign for this site that there are so many members who have a very real interest in Japanese culture. In contrast to what I said in an earlier post, that might be why there are so many younger folk here?
It makes me even gladder to be a new member on Jref, that people are so passionate about pursuing the things they love. Kanpai! Here's to you all (of any age!)
<edit> STAR DRAGON, sorry sir, just saw that was your very first post! May I welcome you here, and I (and surely many others) are looking forward to getting to know you. Why not post on the member intros section, and we'll take things from there!
