J-Pop Tour of Tokyo

As part of a "Discover Japan" tour I am organising at my university I'd like to include some sights relevant to J-Pop and the music scene in Tokyo for the students.
Does anydoby have any ideas for places to visit that might give students an insight into elements of Japanese music, whether contemporary, traditional, pop, rock or enka?
Obviously culture is an important element for students of Japan to explore which is why I want to include prominent elements such as J-pop and anime/manga (there's another thread related to this).

You can take them to a AKB48 concert. Its a show done 2x daily and its pretty cheap...although its kind of an Otaku thing.
