Just a place to say goodbye to our friends and fellow JREFers that have moved on to other things. They may never see it, but it might be a nice gesture to say goodbye again.

Hmmm. Wonder where you got this idea? ;-)

A tear for Yimaja............

she was not a big poster, but she was a wonder in the chat room and became a close friend. Killed in a plane crash doing her job, helping other people. Hope she is in a better place now and at peace. Love & miss you!!

Goldcoinlover (Kevin) happily still pops around on occasion, mostly over holidays. I got a message from him just two days ago. :-)

TwistedMac, where are you?! :(

There are several more I miss. I miss bossel and wish he hadn't resigned as a team member. That was a great loss, as far as I'm concerned.

Some of mine are also late '05....PaulTB may have quit his online life and posting at forums in general. Although I can't say the political nature of this one didn't contribute to it. I miss him too. :(

Both Thomas and Bossel as team members. In the latter's case, perhaps he will check back in eventually as a regular member -- from China or wherever.

Definitely miss Bossel...

and lexico.

I almost forgot abou Sensuikansan, parousia, and eeman...

I hope you are all well.

I miss Doc and Lexico the most. 😭
I also miss Bossel and Hachiro and rich303 and CC1...

I miss Bossel and Sensuikansan, too. ☝

And I, too, think Paul stays mainly at sci.lang.japan.

I also miss Lastmagi and Limonette. :(
Lastmagi would say interesting things about music...

The amount of discussion on WWII by people who knew very little about modern Japan I don't miss at all, although some of the participants were very good members....😌

I miss Lexico and Bossell for their keen insights and great posts and Doc for his philosophy on life. Rich303 stays in touch with me pretty often. He lost his job at NHK in England a while back due to downsizing and is now working for Sky TV. He doesn't have a computer yet, but does check in once in a while when he can. He will be back when he gets better situated and sends his regards to JREF.

Elizabeth Von Kampen... There was a treasure.

Lexico and Doc are the main two, followed by Sensuikansan, who was always a sensible fellow, with a wicked sense of humour.
Another would be Pararousia, always good for sparring on matters religious.

I agree. Perhaps one day religious issues will return.

A lot of good names gone, as well as names that just don't come around often anymore, like Tsuyoiko and Mars Man. I miss lexico, Bossel, doc, Sensuikansan, and CC1 especially.

He's online and very active. I bump into him on a daily basis. I've known Paul for years, from two usenet groups, the thankfully now defunct Maktos.com, JREF, and a forum where he is currently very active. Actually, it was a mention of JREF by Paul on usenet that got me started posting here.

Beats the heck out of people who discuss WWII while knowing very little about WWII at all.....
