Holy knights of Columbus!!! It was so freaking hot last night and the temperature is rapidly dropping to the 20s. Guess I'll finally get to wear my spiffy new coat.

@MorningMasamune: Wow! That made it easy to spot. What the hell is Toshiya doing way over there!

Anyhoo, I was reading this mag while bored at work, and it said you could predict how rock stars are in bed by the looks on their faces during shows, according to them the spazzier they, the better. And this picture of Kyo popped into my head and I burst into a fit giggles scaring my boss lady. LMAO

:/

yeah

I'm honestly baffled. From diru to Gackt in 6o sec. Oh the shame! =_____=

But Yoshiki's history with diru seems to be up to debate as well. Most of the time I hear people bashing yoshiki's work with them, however I hear just as many people saying that's their fa work by diru. WHo knows?

Well some of the older fans feels that Dir en grey screwed over Yoshiki. Because after Macabre they left him for Free Will. Like you made us famous so we don't need you know.

But I believe that Dir en grey would have been famous whether or not they had Yoshiki. In fact it was Yoshiki who approached them.

Well, I think Diru broke away from Yoshiki so that they could explore and eventually shift over to the hard edged metal sound they've since adopted. Notice that Yoshiki produced songs like "Yurameki," "Cage," "Yokan," and "Akuro no Oka." Those were the more pop/rock songs on Gauze. Surprisingly, he did produce "Zan," which, if you ask me, was a hint that Diru wanted to create heavier and darker music.

Woah... a NEW recording of Clever Sleazoid?! And a bonus CD with classical arragements of songs from the album?!

I'm preordering right now. Like, as soon as I press "Submit."

I preordered as well. A classical version of clever sleazoid? I know that Luna Did a classical project. But I seriously could never imagine Classical Deg.

My parents don't let me buy CDs online. So I'm going back to Taiwan over the summer, and spending all my money on JRock CDs. :0

Classical version of Clever Sleazoid. I can't tell what that'll sound like. ^^;

hmm, diru was never signed under yoshiki or extacsy records. they were with freewill from Jealous to Gauze, then switched to Sony Firewall since Macabre, if my memory is correct. yoshiki was only the producer for their triple major debut singles Yurameki, Zen, and akuro no oka. i think he took part in helping compiling Gauze as well. too lazy to take out the CD booklet.

forgot exactly how yoshiki and diru decided to work together, but if you didn't know most of diru are/were X Japan fans.

Don't know. 😊
I don't like Gackt though. :sorry:
not a gackt fan here too. a yoshiki/X Japan fan though. but even so, some of yoshiki's more recent moves has been strange in my opinion......he's being odd in someways.

I don't ever remember them being with Yoshiki's label either. And I agree with Nana about them being famous anyway. Diru had been attracting a lot of attention on their own, otherwise Yoshiki wouldn't have approached them? If a band has a lot of talent it doesn't really matter too much in the long run who their producer is.

Ah . . . . I'll hold my tongue about Gackt since I never seem to have any luck on this forum when it comes to talking about him. *SIGH* Yoshiki's gone wonky in his old age.

I read in some interview that they wanted to do something diferent, and that's why they left Yoshiki. I don't remember much more about that interview...but that was the reason.

Classical versions of the songs?? I really can't imagine that...

Neither can I, I keep imagining Kyo soulfully over-singing Clever Sleazoid.
(That's right I said SINGING, though screaming his way through a classical Clever Sleazoid would be crack.)

The classical versions most likely won't have any vocals in them, they'll just be the songs played by an orchestra. I can't wait to hear a symphonic version of Ryoujoku no Ame.

I'm also really curious as to how they changed Clever Sleazoid since cdjapan says they re-recorded it for the album. Maybe Kyo improved his English a little bit.

The classical versions sound really interesting.. especially as Diru's music seems to have been gettin heavier.. and this is another direction.. or dimension.. something  :D

Dir en grey was on East-West Japan when they were indies. So they weren't allways on free will. And free will and Firewall Div is the same thing. FW is their record company and Firewall is their division of the record company.

woh, finally something cool that actually makes me wanna pre order it. but i'm struggling with preordering or hoping that they would bring it along with them to the toronto show?
is cdjapan the only place offering preorder for now? i've never used cdjapan cuz they charge u too much for shipping..

You can preorder the limited edition one from Yesasia and HMV, you'd have to check out other places though.
