Dir en grey

Sorry to barge in like britney spears, but I wanted to thank Nana007 for the link to the uncensored vid!!! ^^

Damn emo bands! Ear plugs! That's what I'll be using... industry grade ear plugs! -_-; Why can't Diru just play alone? Or how about other smaller jrock bands doing the opening acts?

@boobiebutt: I found the video very amusing... granted I can't comprehend a syllable of the lyrics... -_-;

Random but If you wonder who is to blame for the video. Then you can partially blame Toshiya as it was his idea to have it be animated. Although I don't who thought of the concept.

^They'll have tour goods but I don't think they will have an autograph session.

Anyone check out Diru's OHP??

NEW ALBUM!!
THE MARROW OF A BONE
2/7/2007!!!!

I'll probably buy this one at the show (you think they'll have it?) instead of ordering it online....unless there is a limited edition release.

Woot Woot. Now my Dilema is do I preorder it or buy it at the concert.

But I want a 1st press edition which they won't have at the shows probally.

haha sometimes... lol but its not good to be cautious at times... it gets annoying.. ><

has anyone heard "AGITATED SCREAMS OF MAGGOTS" ??? i think i speled everything right... the first thing you hear is RRRRRRAAAAAWWWWWRRRRR!!! i think its funny...

haha, impulsivness does to ... when u end up doing something that messes u up .....

its a good song .. i love his little rawrs ... and as wierd as it sounds, i think they're cute and funny! lol, it just adds to the wierdness that is kyo ...

i'm not like that at all! haha...

yea i love the rawrs too ^^ makes me wanna jump ^^ it is cute and funny ^^ kyo is the best ^^

My opinion is the song is Great. I love it. Kaoru's and Die's guitar is really good. Its like they are dueling with each other. Also Shinya wore the hell out of his drums especially the double kick bass. You really can't hear Toshiya though.

The vocals are well they are decent. And his english is slightly better as I could tell it was english alot faster than clever sleazoid. Even after I found out that CL was all english I couldn't believe it.

SHHH! <.< >.> *its free*

You know what I really thought was amazing on this single was how it high lights the evolution that Kao and Die have been working on together steadily these last few years. Its absolutely jaw dropping how their styles have learned to completely mesh and complement each other to produce such complicated work.

I agree on the Toshiya thing. :/ Where in the heck is he?

Well In Japan if the single or album release is close to a tour date, they will sell it a few days before. So they might do it with this tour.

But I decided that I will pre order it. But if they have the 1st press on sale at any of my shows I will buy it. And Cancel the Preorder.

Also has anyone seen this interview. Dir en grey、最強シングル「Agitated Screams of Maggots」ロング・インタヴュー | BARKS

Ameko from Batsu while she didn't translate it she says this about it:
I read through it already. I won't translate it because it's actually pretty damn boring, but here's the high points:

+ Kyo was not at the interview ("Sadly, Kyo was not in attendance"). Sounds like he just chose not to show up.

+ Kaoru says that they wrote a handful of new songs "in the bus" during the second half of the Family Values Tour. He also added that some of the songs on their new album will be those songs they wrote during FVT.

+ Kaoru states that it was Toshiya's idea for the video to be animated. Toshiya evidently saw the artist's work and thought he would be good for the PV's animator.

+ The interviewer said that it was rumored the video is really disgusting and offensive. The guys all just shrugged and said "... yea something like that." The interviewer added "but surely no normal tv program is going to air a video so offensive!" and they basically responded that they didn't give a crap (much more tactfully than that of course, but that's the general idea).

+ Toshiya also mentioned that, in his opinion, the music, the lyrics, the PV, and the entire image of the song are all 100% in agreement.

-_____- I'm going to try and say this without coming off like one of those douche bags that sits in front of their comps all day and goes "omg like I hate everything American and those stoopid posers and blah blah blah musical purity and down with the man and oh mah god my dad wont let me have the minivan so Cube is the only thing that can pull me out of my funk cause I only like bands stuff once its several years old and don't like any new" so please stay with me because that's definitely not my intention.

With that all being said I love music from all over and despite what some say to my ears at least there IS a difference in the styles of music from different countries even if its all one genera (rock from Germany just doesn't sound like rock from Russia to my ears). And I know some people argue that most of these types of music evolved in America so it doesn't matter anyway (which is a piss poor argument to me), but I think ever since Diru went on the FV tour there's been a slight but noticeable change in their behavior that's definitely becoming reflected in the music and as much as I'm excited to see where its going to go there's a part of me that strongly dislikes the new flavor.

Diru has managed to stay on top for longer than most bands and like everything else sooner or latter they're bound to fall and I think the attitude of a band has a lot to do with it. Hopefully whatever direction they're going in will be one that's productive and true to who they are. Sometimes when you spend a lot of time in one country you start absorbing the "feel" of that country wither its your own or not.

Er, I'm going to stop here and hope that you can see what I'm getting at. I don't want to go into a whole big thing that will screwier my meaning which is bound to happen if I type too much. Basically while I'm excited and am looking foreword to the new album anything written under FV influence in a bus makes me antsy.

I definitely agree and I feel the same way you do. Even if they're "absorbing" the "American" feel I definitely think we should all give it a chance and as fans continue supporting them no matter what. Who knows, this can turn out to be a very good thing and for the most part I'm just glad they're here. I'm excited and nervous about this all the same time, but I know that no matter what happens I'll always love and support them. (Sorry if that sounded cheesy lol >.<)

Yes! Exactly, its important to be level headed (I mean obviously you have the freedom to walk away at anytime if you don't like which is a much better option than whining), but at the same time there is that nervous feeling about the new sound now that they've had so much US exposure.

Haha, yeah, let's just hope it's a good thing. Personally, I wonder what they thought of the fans here. I mean, I know I was like nervous when I shook Die and Kaoru's hands and I that look that Kaoru gave me...lets just say I thought I was gonna die. It wasn't like a bad look or anything, but it was just like WOW you know. It's just really hard to describe, but in a way it kinda felt like I'd think I'd feel if I was naked in front of someone. I felt embarassed and after that my face just felt like it was burning for like ever. Even now I think about it and I keep blinking and looking like o.o with my cheeks burning. Does anyone know about anything they've said about the fans here??

Well . . . ok. Here's my two cents on FV and remember its just my opinion so whatever, its formed purely on my own personal experiences I've had at FV and other similar concert venues which will obviously differ from every one else's.

The atmosphere at FV is definitely not my cup of tea, and one of the major point a lot of foreign bands have going for them is their behavior. The strong jock, party till you puke, show your tits, shot gun bears till you swear to drunk your not god, tattooed, hairy attitude is just not for me. Have you been to some of the events at FV? I swear to god if I ever for some reason end up going again and see THAT many pregnant women smoking and drinking I am going to have an attack.

Obviously their opinions couldn't have been the best. But that's not what worries me : its the same behavior in the bands that attract these crowds (now now not EVERY one at FV is like that I mean its not smut fest 98' or anything), because the bands are who they would have had constant contact with and these are the people that would have had the most influence on them by the end of the tour which is rather disturbing. o.O

I think the attitude in the band and the attitude towards the fans HAS changed since FV. Not a huge wamping change but I do feel that its building up to something but like anything I just have to sit on my hands till it comes round.

Does anyone have the lyrics and the translation for the Agitated Screams of Maggots? ☝

Agitated Screams of Maggots

dir en grey

I'm killing the haughtily fly
I'm gonna slash your wound just like mine.
I can't hear the voices of society anymore.
I don't understand. You're all fine hypocrites.
Shout The Joy
Your song's drenched in blood and it's full of ****.
You can't shoot the silver bullet into me.
Shout The Joy
It's the Black Flag, ************!!
I wanna shout out to all the trash celebrity stars.
I'll rape your daughter on your grave,
I'll rape your daughter on your grave,
I'll rape your daughter on your grave,
I'm gonna slash your wound just like mine.
I can't hear the voices of society anymore.
I Shout Die!
It's the Black Flag, ************!!
I wanna shout out to all the trash celebrity stars.
I'll rape your daughter on your grave,
I'll rape your daughter on your grave,
I'll rape your daughter on your grave,
Cold Blooded
