When I first saw Dir en grey...I must admit...I thought Toshiya and Shinya were girls. Hot ones. But when I found out they were all guys...I thought they were even more awesome. Strange, ne?

I tend to find guys who can pull off the feminine look uber cool. Maybe that's why I like 80s hair bands so much...

But yeah, there's something amusing about seening a hot guy in a dress, even if he may look hotter in it than most girls. Thats just awesome. True. But you can totally tell that Die was being egged on at least with that comment he made. And I do think that just maybe the U.S rockers are influencing them (as in their actions not music although that too) just a bit.
Its kind of like you know the Japanese think U.S stuff is cool. So its like they are copying what the cool kids do so they can be cool as well.

Could be true, but we personally don't know them so we'll never know whether that's true or not.

They have a new single coming out on November 15 called Agatated Screams of Maggots, if you're talking about an actual album probably in January or Feburary of next year

Your welcome ^_^ and with the album, i'm not actually sure if it is coming out in january or feburary, but i'd think it would since in an interview a while back kaoru was saying that they we're going to be releasing a new album soon and also with all the new songs they have, I'd expect an album.

I just said January or Feburary because on Feburary 2nd it'll be Dirus 10th year together and because if they do tour the U.S. and Canada in feburary, they'd probably want an album out before the tour so people could get to know the songs before they actually perform alot of them.

hmmm..except for the show i went to, i was in front row, right in front of him, but still that's not close enough! lol.

Haha!! Yeah, I wish they played more of the older songs as well. There's quite a few that I'd love to hear live.

I really wanted to meet Kyo and I was lucky enough to do so. However, many were not able to due to some fans that did not respect the rules. I know a guy even forced a hug on him. It made me extremely upset that he did that. Kyo ended up leaving soon after leaving a really long line of fans behind.

The street team made him a banner with a whole bunch of signatures on it. It was really impressive. I believe it had 100+ signatures on it. ^_______^ We meant to give it to him at the meet and greet, but he left before we were able to do so. The other leader of the street team and I were going to drop it off outside their tour bus, but one of the roadies did us the favor of giving it to them. I sure hope it really did make it to them.

I was really amused by the fact that I knew two of the Diru staff. I met them in May when I had dinner with Kamijo from Lareine. ^_^; I wanted to say hi to them, but they were pretty much inaccessible. Actually, when we were walking to the tour bus, we saw Kyo and the translator lady I had met before rushing past us in one of those golf-car looking things. I squealed and waved hi like a maniac to Kyo the lady. She didn't recongize me, but Kyo waved back. ^_______________________^

Kaoru smiled at the Cinci meet and greet ... he smiled during the show too, actually. I even got Kyo to smile (during the show), but I'm not saying how, hehe.

When some girls at the beginning half of the line yelled out "I'm a f*cking rockstar b!tch" during the Columbus meet and greet, there was a huge smile coupled with an extreme blush of embarrassment from Die. Cute.

With songs they only go back to Six Ugly (2002). It's rare but sometimes they'll play a song or two from Kisou (2002).

Wow - everyone is so lucky, who got to see their show and meet them! Even though it's just a brief handshake and move on, it's still pretty cool. I'm not into idolizing, but nevertheless - cool is cool.

@ Pixy: I'd sure love to hear gyakujou tannou keloid milk live as well! It's one of my fave Diru songs, Kyo's voice is just - woah! - in it. I doubt I ever will hear it live, though.

I'm hoping to go to Dir en grey in Europe next year, with Y0kan and some of his mates from Ireland.

@ miki78: Yup, Kyo is the little blonde vocalist. About his scratches, well he makes scratches on his chest and stomach during lives sometimes. About the "dressing up like a girl" thing; they all used to be visual kei, back in the day, and I think most all of them dressed kinda like women at some point (although some look more womanly than others!). These days, they don't dress up like that any more. I'm not sure which member you mean (if you have a picture that would help! ) but the most feminine looking member is Shinya. And yup, red haired guy is Die. The other members are Kaoru (guitar) and Toshiya (bass). Kaoru has awesome cheekbones and tends to look quite manly even when wearing fake breasts and pink hair (XD); Toshiya back in Visual kei days looked more "glam feminine" (although these days like the others has left the feminine look behind). Oh, and he has snaggly teeth. Hope that helped...
