And those avaliable would probably rather take a quick trip to Thailand or the Phillipines.

😊

I think I'm a bit biased on this poll. I am a white girl and I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Asians of any kind since I met this boy named Alex in kindergarten.😊 He moved when I was a kid but I kind of got stuck on it. That can not be good for me.

Asian girls... XD Ugh... I could just imagin myself if a short 5' to 5'6" asian girl walked up to me and gave me a hug and said she liked me... I'd be like, "meanie... Stop being so friggan cute or you'll make me cry."

My first crush was this Vietnamese boy named Hai Tran in elementary school. I was always in either the same class as him or his sister from 2nd-5th grade. And I am a black female so I have liked asian boys for a while now. But I really don't think one type of race is more attractive than another as I have dated or crushed on guys of several different races.

Good for you Nana007 chan !!! 👍 That's the right way of seeing it; no doubt about it. I find certain looks--both male and female [not that I'm sensually attracted to the male, but from the eye of the artist]--in all groups of human range. edit added>>> that I find attractive.

sorry people...I blew it. :p :p :p :p

I still have these stages where I'm attracted to one race, then I stop being attracted to it, then I move on to another. 😊

What?

And why won't this thread die? **** I just added to it. >_>
We need to have some function on Jref, where members can age a thread so that it just basically falls off the planet (or closes itself)... this one needs to go away, it's making the world cry.

Love is the only true reason to date someone, not out of lust or some sick fetish for Japanese girls. I'll admit I've dated out of lust, but everyone has attractions to people because of their superficial aspects. If you can find a girl who is hot, smart, funny and a good person, then your made.
To answer the question, yes I think asian people can date white people and it can work out, it just depends on who you are. For example if your a total dickhead who treats a woman like a talking chode then you should give up now and go **** yourself. If your not forthecoming and kind then women won't spare you a glance.
Some women have penelope syndrome. Thats when a chck likes you based on how violent you are. Those chicks tend to be total *****, but if its workin for you then hey, go with it. (That path doesn't usually lead to happiness, so don't go out and punch some chick in the face, you'll probably wind up losing your left nut)
The best I can say on this subject is that you should treat women right (Japanese, Black, White, doesn't matter) and don't be an *******, or too shy.
good luck

If you wait till you love some one to go out with them, no one would go out. You can't truely know some one without spending a large amount of time with them for a large period of time. Like is the keyword, and you don't exactly "like" out of looks. There's a difference between liking a person for their looks, actually like a person, and love. Love has many meanings, and is a bit strong. to love some one before you "go out with" or "date" them is a rather uncommon thing. Love is when you should *CONSIDER* engagement, then under a further analysis make your decisions on that and your own personal future and desires for one. Though, i do agree you shouldn't date some one out of looks. Otherwise, i would have asked alot more girls out.

I probabley should have frased my argument in a better way.
I meen love is the only reason you should date someone seriously. I agree with you 100% on the fact that you can't truly love someone until you've spent some serious time with them, thats what I was trying to get across.
Thanks for correcting me.

Are you saying that we shouldn't take each other seriously until we love each other? That's essentually saying, "Play with her heart till you love her, then expect her to play nice with you." Always take something seriously, because you are dealing with another person with feelings as well, but be weary, as they are just as capable (if not more) of screwing with you as you are to screw with them.

No thats not what I'm saying at all. If your willing to spend your personal time and energy on someone then that pretty much proves that you take them seriously. Why would you devote that much of yourself to someone just to sadisticaly **** with their emotions and expect them to "play nice."
(I take women and relationships with them very seriously)

Ask pretty much every girl i've ever been with... And ask alot of guys i know... You must word things carefully. You don't have to "love" some one to spend time with them. You can't love some one until you do that, cause any other way you don't know what they're really like. You don't go around town saying "i'm posessive, and i love to snuggle, and i love to play songs, and i beleive that cheating is wrong" and all that. I could see it now, "Hey strange! I think short asian girls are hot, and that i like cuddly people, and i want to see what you're like, so tell me, dear stranger, what you are like."

Just spending time with them alot dosn't necessarily mean you love them. Love is alot different, and is a whole new ballpark, but does come from liking and spending time. Love deffinately isn't that fuzzy feeling you get when you hug some one all the time and give them flowers.

Simple deffinitions:

-to like: The simple fuzzy feeling when near them
-to love: To take care of something with zeal at your own discomfort(example: risk getting lost or hurt to find your pet dog)
-To be in love with: To have strong feelings for some one (weather it be like, friendly, or family) that causes you to love (see deffinition above) some one

Simple?

advice

If you want to know how ****** hard it is to find a good woman to go out with then read on. (This is not for a short lived relationship with no meaning)
You first find someon who you find attractive, then get to know this person. (Don't go for the stupid **** unless your looking for a one night stand) Make sure she's smart and kind. Now that you've found someone who means something to you spend more and more time with her, get to know her personaly. You should get to know her friends and where and what she likes.
Now that your getting close to her start to be more expressive. Now mind that all of this will only work if the women in question is willing to go along with this, don't force yourself upon someone physically or emotionally, because then she'll look at you as an anoying little ***** (This path is very long, hard, and strenuous). Once you feel week in the knees for her, don't be shy about it. Go out with her, show her a good time (Don't whip out your one eyed spam javelin on her:eek:) Date her for a while and start to warm up to each other.
If you fall in love tell her. (I'm speaking from experience, I know this **** is hard, but if you really like or even love this person then you've got to go balls to the wall and speak your ****** mind) If you've done this then you've either made life allot easier or allot harder.
If she reflects your feelings then you're done, life likes you, and everything in the world seems 3 times more radient and beautiful than it was before.
This is where I have to be blunt.
If for some reason she says no to you, then the ***** that is life is has just dealt you one of the most, if not the most brutal bad hands it can deal. Everything around is in a perpetual state of surelism. You'll feel as if the very fibers of your soul and everything else that defines you as a person has been violently and sadisticaly ripped from you. You can't feel. You'll isolate yourself and try to escape, but you're raw and these feelings of loss, pain hatred, lust, contempt, and love have caused irreperupal damage to you emotionally. They constanly plague the back of your mind, chasing your shadow and never far from thought. You'll feel that she owes you something in return for all that you have given her, you've poured your heart and soul into making this woman happy. But you cannot try to force her to do anything, you can beg and plea, but usually once she's made up her mind thats it. You just have to let her go and do what she wants to regardless of how much you crave her. And then you realise that shes turned into a possesion, an object of deep desire, but you can't have it.
You want to end it all, but you're too afraid of the consequenses.
You burn.
But even after all this you can't succumb to defeat. You just have to take whatever life gives you and accept it with a smile on your face. And in the end your only option is to get your **** together and get back up waiting for lifes next nut twisting gift. Life is a test and there's no way to study for it, your very existence is based on this SAT from hell designed to mold you into whoever you are. I don't believe in fate, I don't belive there is some divine plan for every person, that we are born into this life with our fate allready seeled.
I define myself. I create myself. I make decisions based on my own moral standards and no one elses.

.......jeezuz i almost wrote a ****** novel just now.😌

I didn't say you had to love someone to spend time with them. I don't know what the **** your talking about with the whole lovey dovey bull ****. And no I don't condone cheating on a girl I take seriously, but the way you put it, it sounds like you defend cheating. Again I don't know what the **** your talking about with the whole walking up to a short asian chick and trying to hit on her. It sounds like your just making **** up just for the sake of doing it. And yes I agree love is a diffrent ball park, but you have to like someone before you love them, love is not an outomatic reaction.
Simple?
P.S.(It sounds like your talking out of your ***, is this true? Just asking)

Dude how old are you? How many hardships can you have possibly come across at your age. If that is your true age. If not my mistake but I honestly doubt at 15 your experienced enough to know the hardships real dating? IMHO.

Now to get back on topic......This thread sucks. :p

Many years ago, there was a sea captain named John Wilson who fell in love with Naka Yamazaki in Nagasaki. She married him, at the terrible price of being struck from her koseki, and he stayed in Nagasaki, and they raised their children. She took the name of Sophia Wilson.

Naka Yamazaki gave her gift to John Wilson, many years ago. They had several children. You may read their story on Wikipedia.
Sophia Wilson - Wikipedia
They lived long, and when they died, they were buried in the gaijin boche in Yokohama.
Their children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren were raised in Japan, always gaijin, even though through generations of living in Yokohama. My half-sister is their great-grandchild.
Five generations later, I celebrate the birth of my grand-niece, ヒ???ーi (anna).
Do not marry to become Japanese, or to become gaijin.
Marry if your souls cannot live without each other, and you must make a life together, new, not Japanese, not gaijin, but one that has never been seen before.

just saw benwa's messages... Not readin' them all. I don't feel like it on my bday. lol So i agree with damicci on this one.

Then again... i must read the second one. XD

And YOU seem to be confusing love with like.

But you said, "I meen love is the only reason you should date someone seriously."

And steve, that is a really cute story that brings tears to my eyes...

Arigato. Never give up on the great force of love. It is one of the great human strengths. The story is true. Believe in it - and believe in yourself.
