What is his purpose for traveling to Japan?

What is his beg from the officials of Japan; money or weapon?!


Apparently, he is not satisfied with the promise of the White House to give him tens of F16 fighters, or the Chancellor of Germany who promised to deliver him tens of Leopard tanks, or the king of England to donate him tens of the new air-to-ground missiles?

Now, what he expects from the Japanese officials?

Russian Forces claimed they took back Yakhmut city from the armed groups of Zelensky yesterday.

I think the problem of Zlenesky is not weapons and money.

His bigest problem is the lack of faith, enough force, an organized army, a series of unified war headquarters, and the اierarchy of command.

So I think his effort is in vain, and his travels to America, European countries, or Japan seem to be fruitless.

His travel to Japan amazed me, because I don't think Japan can help him anymore!

As I hear in the news, Russia is willful and faithful to drive out Zelensky from Ukraine, and it seems not far from the truth to do that in the near future.

It's not what he will get from japan (likely only non-lethal aid). Zelensky was embraced by the G7 countries, while russia is left out in the cold. A win for Zelensky.

Also, Hiroshima is an important symbol for atomic bombing. Yes, the US did that, but this city also raises everyone's consciousness of putin, and his offhand threats about nuclear escalation. Another win for Zelensky.

Putin's army needs the help of a private army,whose leader is dissatisfied with the russian support it gets--failure of the russian army/ground forces. The russian air force does not control the airspace over Ukraine--failure. The russian navy is afraid to get too close to southern Ukraine--failure. Even the russian hypersonic missiles are being intercepted, another failure. Oh, and the iranian drones have failed to accomplish anything significant (apart from being a good training exercise for how they can be defeated).

Excuse me, senior jonneyG; I never could put away my damn humor mood; when I even got Covid 20 and was close to death. Humor refreshes my spirit.

However, I hope the engagement in Ukraine is finished with a good result.

I dislike NATO occupying Ukraine because it will bring a lot of ballistic conventional and atomic missiles into Ukraine which is opposite to the security of the countries in the area. In addition to Russia, China is alerted about this danger and never is happy with NATO arriving in Ukraine.

I wonder, instead of the White House being regretful of the Atomic bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it chooses Hiroshima as the base for holding a conference with the European governments and also threatening Russia, North Korea, and China!

I don't speak about the mass of people of America that always had been opposed to war (please refer to the reaction of American people against the White House in the Vietnam War).

Don't forget Russia, China, and North Korea are three world powers, and threatening them is not fruitful.

If you ask me about the situation, I say; Russia never gives up on Ukraine, and if the Western governments help Zelensky, Russia will become sharper than in the past to eliminate Zelensky and his groups from Ukraine.

I predict the first heavy military aid of the West to Ukraine will be destroyed by the Bombers and fighters of Russia before Zlenesky can use them! Then the conflict between USA and Russia will get worse!

The White House should keep its cool and not go further in this predicament. I also advise the European governments keep away from this mortal whirlpool, especially Germany that ruined Europe one time earlier and tasted the bitterness of the war at end.

This entire war was started by one man. He won't stay in power or live forever.

Russia agreed to Ukraine sovereignty in 1994 in the Budapest Memorandum, and in return Ukraine surrendered its nuclear missiles to Russia. Russia agreed to respect Ukraine's borders and to not make any military threats to Ukraine. This was reiterated in 2009, when Russia said it would respect its commitments.

The problem is that one man holds absolute power for decades, and he becomes poisoned by this absolute power. He starts to kill his opponents, his critics, and anyone who disagrees with him. I think it happens in other countries too, where one person holds absolute power, and the people are the ones who end up suffering. Its a terrible situation for both Ukrainians and Russians. The Russian people end up losing their young men to this ridiculous war. The Ukrainians of course suffer immensely.

Hope for a quick resolution, but I am not optimistic. Anyway, Russia annexing territory from another country goes against all United Nations rules, so this is eerily reminiscent of 1933, when Japan was annexing territory for what it thought were justifiable reasons, and ended up leaving the League of Nations.

Have you considered that sending those fighters or tanks to Ukraine does mean participation in the war or declaration of war against Russia?!

Ignoring great Russia, one of the few most powerful forces in the world, is a great mistake. How that power allows USA or Germany to send the top heavy weapons to Ukraine to bombard its positions or get its soldiers under fire?!

Also, the military groups of Zelensky are not capable using war planes like F16, though the US trains some of them (without experience of participating in a war). I also doubt they can use those German tanks because Russia dominates all fields of Ukraine, and those tanks are not able to do any considerable operation.

The F-16 dates from 1976 -- and sure, as with anything updated along the way.

But it's an old airplane (and built all over and not just the US due to licensing deals).

This is because its air force is not very powerful. It's vulnerable to the air defense systems deployed in Ukraine and it doesn't have enough trained pilots and reliable aircraft for a large air campaign. If it had a strong air force, it wouldn't have let the war go so badly.
According to a U.S. intelligence document posted online, Russia has suffered 189,500-223,000 total casualties, including 35,500-43,000 killed in action and 154,000-180,000 wounded in action in the Ukraine war since 2022. Another U.S. official said that more than 100,000 fighters from the Kremlin's forces have been killed or wounded since December 2022 alone. These figures are around 10 times bigger than any public casualty figures published by either Moscow or Kyiv.

For comparison, according to Wikipedia, Russia's casualties in other wars were:

• 8,668 killed and 25,668 wounded in the First Chechen War (1994–1996)
• 5,732 killed and 17,892 wounded in the Second Chechen War (1999–2009)
• 2,749 killed and 9,208 wounded in the Russo-Georgian War (2008)

But my purpose was to reduce tension in the discussion, mixed with a bit of fun.

I previously was a religious man and did not pay attention to political things much, but the gradual political debates here took me out from the discipline of religion and led me to this manner of discussion that is not according to religiousness.

I frequently decided to leave Jerf and other English webs and return to my earlier religiousness, but I did not succeed in this way. The Japan Forum absorbs me like a magnet and takes me into this forum unwanted, on and off.

I wish to become religious again and leave you and this damn internet that misled me from my way, but I couldn't return due to this addiction up to now!

Of course, I still believe; NATO is crawling toward the East, but it is not a necessary thing I express my opinions about Russia and Zelensky in a public place with such frequent humoring.

Mr. Uncle Frank found out some interesting things in character and knowledge, and due to his respect, he didn't warn me about my occasional unusual manner of discussion, but I overdid in some of my writings (mixing serious subjects with joking), and most likely I made him (and you) sad frequently.

I apologize to him due to some of my wrongs. If I was religious like in the past, I would never behave like this.

I'm not sure about other countries , but in the US , Iran gets a lot of negative views from many directions. Since I find it hard to believe anything now days , hard to tell what is propaganda in the US and what might be truth I don't have a solid opinion on Iran. I read today that the economy of Iran is not too good with inflation. We see a lot about Iran interfering with ships and oil. Some go as far as to say Iran is just another trouble maker like Iraq was under Saddam Hussein and Ali Khamenei is just another Saddam. Some say if there is a WWIII , Iran will start it. I think a lot of the negative info about Iran is to show Israel we are a good friend of theirs.
My point of all this post is to say that members may act in a negative manner towards your posts because of all the negative info about Iran. I will admit that when you joined JREF I automatically had a bad view towards you just because you live in Iran. Over time I have come to appreciate your views and it has helped me see things in a different light. I may not agree with everything you post but I appreciate your efforts to post here.

About the ships in the Persian Golf that you pointed out:

Iran has nothing to do with the ships move in the international path of the Persian Golf, legally. The Iranian Navy just captured a few tankers that changed their identities and documents illegally, and smuggled oil from Iran furtively, or a few other guilty ships did the similar wrongs that were opposite to security of the water boundary of Iran.
Also, the Iranian Navy warned the warships and carriers of USA not to approach the sea borders of Iran. As you know, the Navy Force of Iran is obligated to supervise the sea borders of Iran in the Persian Golf, and stop and capture the ships that have illegal activity until the security law of Iran make a decision about them.
