Windows SP2 pack for the HOME VERSION is availible
now in a strange way? I just went to the UPDATE site and they have made a lot of new changes. You HAVE TO set it up for AUTOMATIC for SP2, it won't let you download it when you want. You have to put in a time for it to download, and then make sure the PC is on and ready for it at that(THEIR) time. It james the FIREWALL being turned on down your throut too. It does let you download some pieces of the SP2 pack if you won't take it all. I thought I had reached some bogus copy-cat site, the update page was so different. I set my PC for 6PM tonight, be interesting to see if it happens or what? I guess XP professional will be done at a later time, but not sure? I wonder how many bugs I will have to deal with for allowing myself to be raped so soon?

😊

blah, i dont like auto update. service packs are big, sp1 was like 50mb, dunno about sp2 so anyone on dial will have a time dealing with that.

I hope it won't 'rape' us in the way some nasty updates did in the past, I remember installing the Nvidia fix, well it FIXED NOTHING, but instead RUINED my Nvidia Detonator drivers

Really, so once I go inside the updates site, it'll start harassing me to download this?

I downloaded the registry patch that prevents SP2 from being downloaded. I'm going to wait a while and see which way the wind blows on this thing.
