Taiwan,Hong Kong,and Singapore school textbooks have a chapter on " Nanking Massacre " with explicite details,plus all local Chinese newspapers since 1950's constantly recycled this historic tragedy to remind Chinese of Japanese war atrocities in China.

If the Prime Minister doesn't go to Yasukuni, the Chinese would embarrass.

I didn't know Koizumi is so concerned about Hu's political well-being. If Koizumi's intention was to boost Hu's popularity, he has been extremely successful.

Thank you for your kind words, I am more than happy that someone from China is interested in my website.Many Chinese people suffered too in Indonesia during the Japanese occupation, not inside the camps with the Dutch but outside the camps. The Chinese in Indonesia have often helped the Eurasians on Java, those who were also outside the camps.
I have found many war stories from the Eurasians but none of the Chinese also suffering during that war time.
 
Japan and China should grope for the agreement of new Japan and China that exceeded three documents if the relation improvement is hoped in the future.
 
I wonder if you would have the courage to go to the great city of Nanjing (Nanking) today, find anybody over the age of 70 and say what you said below to him/her.

I wonder if you would have the guts to go to the Nanking massacre memorial, and say what you said below to the countless human remains and pictures taken by Japanese soldiers and journalists.

I wonder what you are made of, especially that heart of yours, if there is such a thing.

Interesting analysis... so the logic is, if I am understanding you:

Japan wants to improve relationship with China but fears the suspicion from the United States. So Koizumi puts on a show with Hu full of bullshit like shrine and textbooks for Bush and the people in Japan and CHina, such that both Chinese and Japanese will hate each other's guts and loyally support their hard-line leaders. At the meantime Bush is also swindled by the show, while Hu and Koizumi are in fact secret lovers.

Hmm, you could be on to something there I guess... It never came to me Koizumi could have a thing for Hu and all this gobligoo is actually all about love.
