What is your favorite sushi?

Sushi is my favorite food!
I wondered what kind of sushi "NETA (ネタ)" other people like to eat.
I'm talking about the "Nigiri "that you eat in Japan, not the "sushi roll" abroad.
I like ikura, anago, tamago.

What kind of sushi "neta" you like?

I love negitoro, but I think my favorite is yakiburi with quality salt on top of it.

I used to go to those cheap sushi places such as sushiro, Kappasushi, and KuraSushi, but since my boss sometimes takes me out to this quality sushi place in Osaka I don't really enjoy eating at those cheap places anymore.... spoiled

Fatty tuna is called "toro", not "hotate" (scallop). I see if I can update your poll.

Toro is the best, but only if its real. What they have at the 100 yen sushi shop is NOT real. Its regular fish meat soaked in oil. Its not bad tasting, but it should be illegal to call it toro. Its not. The real thing is expensive. I have had it. Its excellent.

At the cheap sushi places, I like what they call "saamon" which is salmon with fresh chopped onion and mayonnaise on top. Next would be hotatte (scallops), whether plain or carpaccio (misnomer) and then just plain old tuna.

Hardly ever eat sushi or sashimi anymore. Never know how close any of it has been to Fukushima.

Really? How come you have included "fried prawns", then? That is nowhere near being authentic.

Fried prawns are Japanese food. Ebi furai is acknowledged as one of Nagoya's speciality foods.
