What Is The Name Of This Movie????

Hi,
I have been searching for months for a movie I saw on a JAL flight. It was so good that I cried and laughed and was thrilled!!! I don't know the Japanese name of it but it did also have titles "Thousand Ryo Jar" about a boy who was the Emporors child from a peasant woman. His grandfather or keeper died and all he was left with was a jar that he kept his gold fish in. A Samurai man with one arm looked after him and they lived in a Kyundo/tea house. In the end the boy discovers he is the Emporors son via the big jar and he decides to stay with the childless couple. The scnery and cinematogrophy is amazing. Please please help me. It had English subtitles and I really want to buy this movie.

Sounds like it could be the new film "Sazen" or "Tange Sazen" - its a re-working of a character that has been around since the 60's (i may be wrong).

Weird you should post this cos i've only just bought it as a blind purchase - haven't seen it yet but reading what you had to say has me confident it was a wise purchase.
